Great road car - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By Jack - May 28 - 4:43 pmBought this 97 on eBay for less than $8500 -- only had 81,000 miles at time of purchase. Ive made two road trips of 1,000+ miles round trip and it is the most pleasant vehicle Ive ever driven. Smooth ride, comfortable seats (seats same leather as Coach purses). Didnt realize it required premium fuel until after purchasing it, but it gets 25+ on the road. I plan to drive it at least 9 or 10 years.

satisfied - 1996 Lexus LS 400
By lexus guy - May 24 - 2:00 amI traded a 98 Bonneville for a 96 Lexus and have been extremely satisfied with the trade. The car has a build quality beyond anything else I have ever owned. The ride quality is excellent and the overall build quality is outstanding. The sound system and interior comforts are first rate. I feel the used LS 400s are really a good value on the open market. I was a little concerned because there is not a Lexus dealership close by, but the cars are so dependable it doesnt really matter.

Just passed 250K Miles - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By James - April 11 - 8:53 amWell i just passed the 250K miles goal. I looked at my comments from 2007, so I am driving about 50K miles every 3 years. The car is holding up well. My air suspension failed on the front and rear in the last 18 months but those are the only real problems. It cost about $1100 each to fix but seeing that I have owned the car 13 years, that is minor, considering I have had other no major repairs. My next goal is 300K. I will write back again

A Legend... - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By LS 400 - March 19 - 1:26 pmI purchased this car from my brother 3 years ago. Its got 200k miles and every time I put it on the highway, it has already paid for itself. I got 500miles from a full tank! This car is classic. I only hate I didnt get a 99 with the xenon headlights. Still is so quiet and smooth you think its not even running. Someone is constantly trying to buy it from me. I cant wait to try the LS430 or LS460l

Best value in a sedan - 2000 Lexus LS 400
By Road Warrior - February 9 - 9:13 amThis is a third update of my used car experience she has 158,000 miles on her now and still runs like when I bought it other than normal wear out service items and a Intermittent problem with the power tilt wheel not going down; this happens a couple times a year it wont work then comes back to life as if nothing happened. I am very pleased with the car. If you can find a good one you will be very happy ,safe and comfortable I have driven it a 1000 miles over 2 days and still feel comfortable with no road fatigue with this one on your body. Do yourself a favor service at qualified independent shop and save 40-60% off Lexus franchise dealer prices I do !

First One - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By Theodore - January 1 - 2:00 amThis car is everything I expected. It has gave me 50,000 miles of trouble free driving. I wish I could find a reason to get a new one but this one is still like new @ 60,000 miles. The Japanese are hard to beat when it comes to quality.

Excellent Car, Small Aggravants - 1995 Lexus LS 400
By dwity - December 22 - 10:00 amThe car is beautiful to drive, exceptional to ride, powerful and smooth as silk. It does everything well. My car has a few small, annoying and very expensive to fix problems: drivers side heated seat never worked, lcd on radio is moody - it will work flawlessly sometimes and work very poorly sometimes, the front suspension "creaks" when changing directions. Outside of these aggravants, this car is virtually perfect. It is faster than 90% of the vehicles out there, looks like a grandpas car and even at 8 years old, appears brand new. At emissions a few months ago, the guy thought it was a brand new car.

The best car Ive ever had - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By Dennis - December 17 - 5:40 pmThis must be the most well-built reliable car ever made. Ive had this car for almost ten years and it drives almost as snappy as the first day I owned it. Solid it is!
