Overview & Reviews
On the outside, look for a new wheel design and smoked surrounding trim for the headlights and taillights. Inside, Lexus has added a memory function for the driver seat, a maintenance indicator light, a new storage compartment on the dash (for cars without the navigation system) and new trim highlights.
- Outstanding driving dynamics, slick interior decor, competitive pricing.
- Small rear seat and trunk, not much storage space, styling could be "tragically hip" by some accounts.

One of the Best - 2004 Lexus IS 300
By mandoq15 - June 1 - 10:00 amOverall the car performs very well and is consistent in all areas. There are some improvements needed but by far the car is above all standards.

Sportcross in want of manual 6 speed - 2004 Lexus IS 300
By Dan Moon - March 18 - 10:00 amWith the conflicting personality traits of family responsibilty to a wife and two children and woeful levels of lingering adolescent car lust I have nearly found the ideal combo. Lexus is 9/10ths there, but not quite. They need M3, S4 hotcha, sports suspension, and a 6 speed manual in the Sportcross. With a bit better marketing and spec., Lexus would do really well with this car.

Love it. - 2004 Lexus IS 300
By DevinE - November 4 - 2:00 amI just love this car! I never really enjoyed driving until now. The handling is excelent, engine and acceleration too. I barely touch the gas as I leave a stoplight and still leave everyone else in the dust. Some people say the back seat isnt roomy enough, I only sat in it once in the showroom and it seemed O.K. to me with better headroom than my friends 2002 ES300. I love the way all the controles are designed around the driver so that the car simply becomes an extension of yourself. That was the number one reason I preferred it over the BMW 325i.

04 Sport Design Auto5 Sedan - 2004 Lexus IS 300
By Black Sport Design - October 24 - 10:00 amMoving on from 6spd manual sports car. Ride comfort is as good as itll get while maintaining this wonderful handling. During sharp cornering, moderate bodyroll. Acceleration very responsive, will not down shift needlessly due to high torque and close ratio gearing (even Auto). Highway very stable, good throttle response. tourque is very high due to inline-6, HP is just enough to give spirited ride. The lack of performance is balanced by luxury and handling. You wont regret value VS price paid. Purchased for invoice price, other test drives include Subaru wrx Sti, BMW330, Maxda RX-8, Infinity G-35, Acura TL.

U GOTTA GET THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 2004 Lexus IS 300
By In LOVE w/ my IS300 - June 7 - 10:00 amI drove a Civic DX for 8 years. The last 2 of those years I was getting the new car itch. I would get excited about some other car models but would shortly lose interest. BUT as soon as I seen the IS300 - I KNEW it was the one! It was like love at first sight. I bought one in Feb04 and couldnt be happier. Love the fact that not many people have this car. People ask me all the time "Is that a Lexus?"...or ask much or say how much they love it. Lexus out did itself w/ the IS300. It handles like a dream. Its the perfect combo of luxury and sport. Euro-car kids wanna race when they see me...LOL. Ive never owned the same car twice, but when I do go to get a new car it will be ANOTHER IS300.
