  • Big Guys Car - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Everything about it is absolutely great except for one thing. Its really hard for a big guy to get in and out of and theres not enough headroom. Its worth it though!

  • Smooth Ride but Some Issues - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Ive owned this car for 15 months now and have put around 15,000 miles on it. I replaced the stock run-flats with bridgestone turanza serenity after a blow-out. The car feels great on these tires. However, the car has been at the dealer several times. Grinding noise at cold start-up. Theres a TSB out for this but the dealer turned me away the first time. Called lexus corporate then the dealer invited me back and fixed it without questions. Now theres a recall on the brakes.

the car had two major flaws : low headroom . I am only 59" and my head almost scrapes the roof . The second flaw it the run flat tires . They do not take any abuse . They puncture easily and are very expensive. The dealer was not very clear about the option to put regular tires on the car .

  • Amazing Luxo-Sports Sedan - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Amazing looking car with sporty optional wheels and luxurious interior. Smooth and refine yet sporty to drive. Touchscreen system beats iDrive in the bimmer and is more reliable. It is faster than the BMW 530xi which felt heavy and slow and too pricey for its standard equipment. I love the bluetooth, smart access keyless entry system, etc.

  • Electronic Issues - 2006 Lexus GS 300

I used to drive a lot for business. Problems started when the warranty expired. It was like clock work! First the cruise control went dead. Took it to the neighborhood Lexus dealer. They kept my car for a 4 hours and could not find the problem. They were going to charge me $400.00 ($100 per hour) for diagnostics. Naturally, I didnt. Then the speedometer went crazy, going back and forth to not working at all, the car wouldnt shut off. Then nothing, everything would work fine the next day. The dealer told me its a sensor problem and would cost $ 2000.00 + to repair!

  • Dissopointment - 2006 Lexus GS 300

from 1999 corolla to a 2004 camery then to a 2006 lexus gs 300 awd..I have come to one conclusion....totoya mades good cars, but very bad engine. all their vicheles born oil. Ihave had my gs for seven years now, and has 174000 km, and It has been burning oil since 96000km. I have done everything that ther dealers have required, I have questioned lexus headquaters, but still no solution for my problem. Though my research on all three of my vehicles as well as connecting with other owners and toyota specialty machines, have learned that most totoya and lexus model have that issue once you pass the 100000km mark

  • Totally Satisfied - 2006 Lexus GS 300

This is my fourth GS 300 since 1993 and this is the best of them all. I have owned a Merc 300 and a BMW 3 series and I keep coming back to Lexus. The interior comfort is oustanding. The standard equipment rivals any of those in the ultra-high end vehicles. The drive train is strong yet smooth. I have taken a few long trips and it was very relaxing. The AWD handles the tight curves effortlessly. The exterior design is a show stopper. Im totally satisified with my Lexus.

  • so far so good - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Have put on around 1,000 miles on the 06 300 AWD i bought used while it had 36k on it. Overall its been ok. Not the best but decent acceleration, smooth enough braking, ride comfort however has been just average. I feel and hear all bumps.. i thought luxury cars were supposed to smooth them out for you? i think id take ride comfort and smoothness over the bells and whistles any day. the car feels too heavy.
