I had this car for a couple of months and I love it. I actually test drove several vehicles, Infiniti, Acura, and Audi to compare from several perspectives and chose the Lexus GS 300 AWD. I had the dealership change the tires to 18" Michelin Pilot® Sport A/S tires in place of the Goodyear run flat tires and what a difference in ride and handling. This car is fully loaded and the Mark Levinson 14 speaker Audio system is great. I am completely satisfied with this car. This car is an eye-catcher and it delivers on demand.

This is my fifth Lexus and my third GS 300. I have owned several luxury cars (Mercedes, BMW, Volvo) and none compare to the quality and lack of problems and issues to the Lexus line. I prefer the rear wheel drive and thus continue to choose the GS 300. The 6 cylinder engine is more than sufficient to create power when needed. The 400 is simply a waste of money. The car is quiet, comfortable, sporty and a joy to drive.

I previously owned a GS 300 in 1995. I absolutely loved the car, but could not afford to keep it after going through a divorce. I always remembered the smooth quite ride and the way the car handled. I have owned 2 Mercedes Benz between 1999 and 2006 and decided to purchase a Lexus in 2006 when the body style changed. It is fully loaded... with the exception of the satellite radio ( I did not like the antenna on the trunk of the car). I absolutely LOVE this car and will never purchase another Mercedes Benz.

  • Best of the AWD cars - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Bought car in Feb. 05 - took all other AWD cars for test runs (several times) -- Audi a6, Infiniti M, Acura RL-- there was no comparison in comfort and handling. May not have the power of the M or RL but there is plenty there. had previously owned an A6 - good car but nothing like the GS 300. Articles say not a fun car to drive? Cant believe this -- maybe because its so quiet - but this car handles great on a country roads plus its stylish.

  • Only car I am keeping after paying it off. - 2006 Lexus GS 300

I have had several makes and models of other automobiles but my GS300 is the one I have loved the most. I get 30-34 miles per gallon on the road which is awesome. Since the gas prices have gone up Ive used regular gas for the last year with absolutely no maintenance problems. This is the first year that I did a beautiful red/cayenne color. I have always done a beige or white/neutral color. It does turn heads and is a people pleaser creating a lot of comments. I have had an accident with a deer and only the grille was damaged. It never affected the engine. I feel extremely safe in this car.

  • My first Lexus - 2006 Lexus GS 300

This car is so superior to anything Ive ever owned-including several Mercedes, and two Infinitis - it is as though Lexus is in a different business from the rest of the auto makers. I refer to performance, comfort, quality of "build", and dependability - and low cost of maintenance. Lexus has it figured out!

The dumbest things ever done to a car - hide most of the adjustment. You can only reach it by opening a box or using a touch screen. This makes a lot of inconveniences you wont find in a 2005 or earlier model.

  • Disapointed - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Bought my 2006 GS300 as a certified preowned in Feb of 2008. The exterior and interior of the car was great. What sealed the deal for me was the overall consumer ratings of the car. Unfortunately, my disappointment started 2 weeks after I bought the car, I was sold cupped tires. Ever since then, I have taken my GS300 back to the shop on a monthly basis for different problems. Customer Service is great but the quality of the car is not. As a matter of fact, car is in the shop now (June 2009). Time for another car!! Any suggestions for a quality, reliable, luxury car that I dont have to take into the shop every month except for maintenance? Does it even exist any more?

  • Excellent! - 2006 Lexus GS 300

Lexus has designed the perfect car. It looks great, it is fast, it is well equipped and it is economical to operate! I loved it the first time I drove it and could not believe the great acceleration from a V6. I had planned to get a V8, but after driving the V6 I was sold. The cockpit is awesome and wraps you in leather with great instrumentation. The dual AC controls are nice and work mch better than my E500 that I traded in! The quality and fit of the vehicle are awesome and rival a Bently that I recently drove!

  • Excellent Car, Outstanding MPG - 2006 Lexus GS 300
    By -

I bought this car as a CPO in October 2007. I traded a 2002 BMW 745Li. This car does not drive like the BMW and lacks some amenities, but all in all, its a great value. In my driving thus far, I average 27 MPG city and 38 MPG on long trips. With that kind of mileage, who needs a hybrid. This is an excellent car for the $$$.
