Staying in the family!!! - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By lhester - December 1 - 5:30 pmI purchased this car after my in-law totaled my 2001 GS300. What an improvement. In the previous car I didnt have the Mark Levinson, satellite or other upgrades normally found in the GS 430 or LS 430. This car is definitely an upgrade over the previous. Ill stay with Lexus as long as theyll have me.

Solid buy - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By Former 5 Owner - October 31 - 4:46 amThe Lexus is tightly built, has all the gadgets you can ever ask for - that actually work as they are supposed to - and looks great inside and out. However, as a former 5 series owner, it also made me understand what they meant by Lexus as being just a Camry with leather. However, the GS IS a very dependable Toyota with many, many quality upgrades if that is what you are looking for. Personally, I wasnt.

Dream Car! - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By SZ - September 12 - 10:23 amGreat options, nice styling inside and out. Awesome sound system, comfortable ride. Outstanding interior design - aesthetically pleasing. Comfortable, yet fast enough, gas mileage almost like a 4 cylinder Camry. Build with materials of high quality. Bought certified used - peace of mind!

GS300 in Kuwait - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By asanders - September 8 - 9:13 amIve driven a lot of cars in my time and when you spend a lot of money on a car, its really important how the car makes you feel. Auto-journalist reviews can be misleading as they focus on things that just dont matter when you have to live with a car for 50,000 miles - for example on-the-limit road handling and 0-60 acceleration. My decision to buy this car was purely based on how I felt during the test drive, having already sampled the bmw 525 (irritating to live with & expensive), the merc e280 (lacks flair & very expensive), the Audi A6 (more special than the other two and very nearly my choice)...The lexus is gorgeous, relaxing to drive, feels really up-market and way better value..

GS 300 AWD - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By first Lexus - September 4 - 9:53 amHad dealer add the 18" wheels with Dunlop run flat tires that makes the ride a little more stiff but far less sway that 17" stock. Excellent quiet ride with good visibility. First Lexus after extended trial and consideration of BMW 530, Infiniti M45, Audi A6 3.0 and Jaguar S V8. Best combination of the "good" things from the others such as AWD, acceptable power but not at loss of MPG or paying exorbitant price. Avoids the "bad" traits like goofy BMW iDrive, Infiniti noise, Audi initial acceleration hesitation and Jag smallish interior. Almost looking forward to Minnesota winters.

Smart Car - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By Lexus Man - July 26 - 3:23 amAs with any Lexus, the cars are made to last. However, the Lexus GS 300 is the smartest car on the market. It can fly down the highway and it is easy to drive. The car can tame the road with its impressive power. It is quiet, comfortable and the best deal on any luxury car.

Fantastic Automobile - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By Ron - July 20 - 2:43 pmI looked at the BMW-5, Benz, Infiniti M, Acura, Audi S4, Jaguar, etc etc... none met what I was looking for until I found the new GS 300. With the redesign of the Lexus GS 300 AWD, I finally have found a car that is a perfect blend of form and function. It feels like a luxurious sedan but doesnt look like an old 4-door family car. While some prefer the stiff ride of the BMW 5-series as several like to feel the road, I like the feeling of comfort. AWD is a huge plus as well (unlike my BMW aka "silver sled". While it does not have as much HP as the Infiniti M, it feels better put together (the M felt like a boat w/its strange wooden trim). The screen +key + bluetooth are great as well!!

Ride of my dreams - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By Carol - July 6 - 6:20 amFrom the minute I got in to this car, I fell in love. This is the ride of my dreams. The luxury features make me feel pampered. I love to drive, but I have never had this much fun on four wheels. The color is the most perfect shade of metalic red, which accentuates the stylish lines. I was too excited to catch everything from the salesman the night I bought the car, so I keep finding neat things that make me fall more in love. The best part is that I dont have to hunt for my keys anymore, because Im such a scatterbrain. What a ride!

Great Blend of Sport and Luxury - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By lou tomich - June 6 - 7:03 pmUsing this car for business and pleasure is a delight. Most of the tests Ive read in the car magazines critisize it for not being Porsche- like in the sport handling context. On Americas highways this car has all the smoothness and agility you could ask for. The interior amenities are numerous and very useful. I could drive it forever.

too many trips to dealer - 2006 Lexus GS 300
By wph1215ecu - May 11 - 11:57 pmbought this car used in 2008 &absolutly loved it. several recalls were handled and a few pretty large issues were fixed under my 50k mile warrenty, I had to get something else fixed under my extended warrenty under 100k mile. brake wear out faster than they should, sometimes hear a grinding. I continue to notice issue in the steering wheel where it seems to almost stick in a groove slightly pulling to the right when im cruising the highway btw 60-80mph. side mirrors motors went bad after 100k miles. notice a mildew smell in the a/c since i bought it. low tire pressure light is always on. sometimes my car shakes when i come to a stop like its about to shut off. now steering col & eng cyl bad
