  • A good choice - 2004 Lexus ES 330

I use this for my job and drive it a lot. It is very reliable and offers a great deal of comfort

  • solid car, but should have done research - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

The car has been good by all acounts except the transmission. It hesitates, slips into 4th and has a "jerk" to it at low speeds. I have had it in the shop on 3 different occasions and have been told the dealer can do no more. There are several customers with the same problem as I found out when I went to the NHTSA web site. This is a software problem with this car and the RX330, please do more investigating than I did.

  • Rides Like Butter - 2004 Lexus ES 330

I love my new Lexus ES330. I am impressed with the ride, the amenitites and detail. The recomendations for improvement would make this beautiful vehicle perfect!

  • Yup, the Tranny - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

I came to this site today to see if I was nuts, or this tranny stinks. Lex says,"Operating as Designed". I say if not dangerous, RIDICULOUS. The additional power added this year was nice, but makes it worse. I will not ruin my wifes dream world by bashing her car to her, but I drive us around on the weekend, and it feels BROKEN until I get it to the freeway and CRUISE ... That is its charm. Thanks for confirming my aggrevations people!

  • Cant complain too much - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

Roomy, Reliable and Comfortable. The acoustics are great with the upgraded sound system I had installed. Quiet car with the proper tires. Knock on wood, no major problems.

  • Transmission needs fixing - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

I had this car for 7 months and regret buying it. It looks great but the transmission needs to be fixed. Lexus says that it performs as designed. I can not belive that Lexus has lowered thier standards.

  • dirst 100 miles - 2004 Lexus ES 330

timing on my car ES 330 2004 is very poor--complained to the service manager and was told until 100 miles nothing could be done--i REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND THIS AS FAR AS i KNOW NO NEW CAR HAS TO BE BROKEN IN--- I think Lexus made a mistake

  • Bad and Dangerous Transmission - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

This cars transmission hesitates very badly when accelerating off the line. I have used premium fuel. This does not help at all. Lexus will not fix it. Please read all the other consumer complaints in these reviews. Time for a class-action lawsuit. I love the rest of the car but this transmission problem is ruining my enjoyment of driving my new car.

  • Pulls left - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

Great vehicle; however, it pulls left. Internal Memo received from JM Lexus also shows that it is a problem with many of the 04 ES 330s also pull to the left. It was fixed FIVE times, and still pulls.

  • Drivers seat - 2004 Lexus ES 330
    By -

I drive about 100 hundred miles a day and find the drivers seat the most uncomfortable and painful. The front of the seat is mounted ~2" higher in the front which positions all the weight on your thighs. Ive tried all the adjustments the seat will allow with no relieve. I spoke to the service manager about my problem his only comment was "ya that seat sucks!". Dont get me wrong all the acculades given this car are well earned and if you only drive around town 10 to 12 thousand miles a year you will probably never notice the discomfort.
