Excellent choice for small cuv - 2017 Kia Sportage
By JSA - March 7 - 6:41 pmGreat car in every respect. Kia lies about mpg. I consistently get 36-38 hwy (manual calculation), not the 30 mpg Kia promised. Its comfortable for long trips and the piece of mind when driving it is priceles. Best of all its the best looking cuv out right now.

Wont buy another - 2017 Kia Sportage
By g graves - March 3 - 9:55 pmThis is my 5th Kia and Im done! The gas mileage is in the low 20s for city driving. The radio reception without Sirius radio is poor. When temps are in the teens the engine has a hard time turning over. It always starts but it seems to struggle. We havent had below zero temps yet so dont know how that will go. Dealership cant replicate the problem. The major problem with this vehicle is that the steering wheel has locked up 3 times in the last 2 months when I turned it off. The key wont turn, the steering wheel wont move, and the gear shift is locked. The steering wheel needs to be perfectly straight when the car is turned off or I may be stranded. Love Kia vehicle assistance but this is a MAJOR pain . The dealership is zero help with this problem. The tow truck driver has gotten the steering wheel turned but offered no suggestions. The 1st Optima I owned also did this.

Hard to say enough good things about this vehicle! - 2017 Kia Sportage
By Ken - December 12 - 6:14 amI test drove RAV4, Forester, CX-5, and Rogue. Hadnt driven the Sportage even two blocks before I knew it was better than all the others. Kia really "nailed it" with this vehicle. Quiet, excellent ride, great handling, decent power. Passenger space and comfort is awesome. We just love the vehicle. Great work, Kia.

No CD player! - 2017 Kia Sportage
By Dawn Boyer - June 12 - 3:07 amThe turbo takes off like a rocket. Like zero to sixty in five seconds. Or maybe faster. Only downside is that there is no CD player. Drivers side door difficult to reach to close when it is fully open. Passenger door has a nice handle.

As named, a Sporty SUV - 2017 Kia Sportage
By Rus Johnson - February 11 - 10:31 amI already have a Sorento so as a commuter vehicle for myself, I wasnt looking for lots of family room. Also, Im not young anymore, but not quite dead yet, so the radical sporty lines on the 17 Sportage were very appealing to me. I just got the EX model, and although I would not challenge any high end power cars out threre, it does zip nicely through traffic and allows for some competitive driving. The suspension is very stiff, lending to excellent road handling. I drive in Europe several times a year and often rent the BMW X3. Ive got to say, the Sportage handles every bit as well. The interior is great looking and ergonomic. I cant speak for reliability as I have not had the vehicle long enough, but you cant beat the long term warranty. For those in my neck of the woods, I have to stick a plug in for Mike at KIA Smithtown NY. He made the purchasing process a pleasure.

The drive is smooth- could use a bit more power but not complaining. I bought from the Kia Depot in santa ana , ca and they were accommodating unfortunately they changed ownership and now the service is terrible and they dont honor deals that were made at time of purchase..love the car..just not who I bought it from.

By Cheryl - October 21 - 7:48 amI am 61 and finally decided to buy my 1st new car. Looked on line and on the road. Decided it was between Land Rover and Kia Sportage. The Kia Sportage had better visibility and that Panoramic Sunroof!!! I went on the Kia Motorsports web page and built my own. There werent any near me that I wanted. It had to be white, with that Panoramic Sunroof. I found 2 at Peoria Kia in Arizona. I called and had one put on hold. I booked a flight, they picked me up at the airport in my new Sportage. Wow Kia has amazing style, features and good power for a 4 cylinder. I formerly had a Honda Ex V6 Accord. UPDATE: The only problem I have experienced is a BIG ONE!! :( BLIND SPOTS :( The side view mirrors and that area.

crv rav rogue cx3 LOOKOUT ! - 2017 Kia Sportage
By Alli - September 13 - 12:17 pmupdate : 6000 miles-- Vehicle is fantastic, , gas mileage is far better than advertised. Several of our friends ( CRV, Rogue ) plan on trading for a sportage. We have owned a CRV/RAV/Rogue and now a Sportage. All I can tell you is that these three companies better change fast or else this sportage will bury them. Last fall we purchased a used 2014 sportage lx for my daughter, i love the handling and the ease of maintenance. The new 2017 is a knockout power punch for this company, yes we have the means to afford a 40k car but why ? My daughters power window broke on her 2014 with 48K on it and they fixed it for free, just cant beat the warranty . A few of our friends laughed at us, ( lexus, audi ) until they sat in it then took it for a drive, laugh no more. This is a cool vehicle.
