Kia Sorento Three Years Later - 2011 Kia Sorento
By lad3 - December 3 - 6:44 pmI have had the Sorento for 3 years now and wanted to share my experience. It has been a great car. I have almost 50K now and I have not had any problems with the car. Very reliable. With the V6 the car has plenty of power for when you need it. The ride is very comfortable. After I bought it I immediately took it to a road trip from DC to Maine and back. I really had to use the cruise control because otherwise I would easily increase my speed to 80 MPH or more without even noticing it. I like the interior design and the controls. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased the Kia Sorento. Great car, great value.

By Luv my KIA - November 19 - 11:33 pmLooked at all SUVs and crossovers on market and this by far came out on top. For price and the whole package. Only SUV that came with heated fabric seats. Had a Subaru and loads of problems, nothing compared to the KIA. Great crossover, kids and hubby love it to. Have the 7n seater with awd.

9 month review - 2011 Kia Sorento
By darda71 - November 2 - 1:33 pmI purchased my Sorento March 2010 I now have 5,000 miles.. I do enjoy the vehicle except there a many rattles inside and the ride seems to be a bit harsh..not very comfortable.. The 4-cy is just adequate.. My car does not like to go up any hills/inclines.. the engine revs up to 4-5000 rpm and will not shift until I get to the top. Gas mileage is around 18mpg nothing great. Waiting to see how the AWD will be in the snow/ice. So far not overly satisfied with the vehicle.. but not the worst choice either.. I would like a better engine and better ride.

By ks_az - October 11 - 4:25 pmI have had my Sorento for almost a month now. I was trading in a 2004 Mitsu galant (v6), i was looking for a little bit more comfort, reliability, and functionality. I test drove many other models from both foreign and domestic makers. I am 61" and not a little guy so comfort and room were essential. I have taken a road trip that required about 6 hours of time behind the wheel and did not have an issue with the comfort. There is an odd rattle/grind when i start the v6 cold, after visiting the dealership having them inspect it the service technician told me it was normal and not to worry. The only issue is my grandparents recently bought a ford crossover, now they want trade cars.

Kia Junk - 2011 Kia Sorento
By m17921 - October 4 - 3:46 pmI have a 2011 Kia Sorento. It is getting the transmission replaced for the second time. It has less than 10,000 miles on it. Think twice before buying a Kia. The selling dealership fixed it the first and second time. It still wasnt right so I found another dealer to take over the warranty work. They are putting another transmission in right now. This dealer is wonderful since I didnt buy the car there. They have been better that the dealer that sold me the car. Kia looks good but, pay a little more and buy a Nissan or Toyota. Kia calls with a survey after you get an oil change to see how the service was. Once there is a bigger problem they stop calling because they dont want to hear that

Early Adopter - 2011 Kia Sorento
By Linenguy - September 25 - 8:33 pmPurchased 2010 Kia LX and it is an impressive vehicle for price. Owned two Hyundai Santa Fes and compared what Kia offered for money and it was no comparison. Surprised 4 cylinder had similar power to my V6 Santa Fe. I live in hilly area and the 4 climbs as well as old V6. To early to tell is reliability will be as good as Hyundai, but since they are same company I assume it will be comparable. Vehicle drives sporty but feels solid and bigger than my Santa Fe. Will see long term mileage. Got my Sorento Lease for less than my 2007 Santa Fe with no money down. Take a look Im sure you will be impressed with value for money. Would get a V6 if you tow things.

By Michael - September 9 - 10:00 amWe bought our Kia after looking at Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, and Subarus. We thought the Kia was quieter, built better and had a way better warranty than the others. So far no problems at all. Have had it about 7 months now. And if anything does develop, Im not worried at all. It is under warranty! I could make any brand sound bad if I pick it apart. I think Kia has come a long way and I am glad we gave it a chance. The ride is fine considering it IS a crossover after all. If I wanted a luxury ride, I would have spent 50 grand on something else. But for what it is, it is a great vehicle. I would recommend one to anyone. You cant knock it until you try it.

Was really hoping for more - 2011 Kia Sorento
By Sara C. - September 9 - 10:00 amJust bought this car in August, only has 1500 miles on it and Im already having issues. The transmission seems to be acting up. I live in Florida and 3-4 times now when in drive, but stopped at a stop sign on a slight hill, the car does not budge when I give it gas. Not sure what this is about. Can also feel hard shifting while driving. The fuel economy is worse than expected - at best 21 mpg. The avg mpg reading never seems to be correct. Also, being petite I am building muscles trying to close the back hatch. Its crazy hard to close. The good news is that I love driving it. Its a beautiful car. It fits the family well. I was just really hoping for better fuel and more reliability.

By Steve131 - August 31 - 12:13 pmI have just at 2000 miles on it so far. I drove just about all the other SUVs in this price range, and me and my wife both liked this one the best. I only hope that I will be has happy with it in two years as I am with it so far. I have had many new vehicles, and I am tough to please. The Sorento just simply offered more for my money than anything else out there. Very pleased so far.

New Kia - 2011 Kia Sorento
By pam0927 - August 31 - 1:46 amI have only had my Kia Sorento 3 weeks. So far it was an excellent choice. the only issue I have with it is the pairing of my cell phone. I have a Samsung Omnia and it doesnt want to reconnect with bluetooth when i get back in the vehicle after leaving it.
