The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

  My wife and I just love the SUV. Would not be without the all wheel drive. Ive driven a lot of vehicles and this is my first foreign one and we just love it. Its better than my daughters Lexus, at a lot less money. I bought it with every listed option, including trailer hitch and autoload leveling,leather,moon roof, 6 cd player etc. for less than 26k new. Wish gas mileage was better, but I get about 15mpg around town and 18mpg+ on trips to Vt. and the Cape. I always was a llwheel drive van man,but we had 2 vehicles then. Now down to one the Sorento fills both my wifes and my needs with plenty of hauling and towing capacity. This SUV is a eye turner.Will buy again.

  we find it to be a very stable and solid vehicle. when compared to other suvs it far superior for the price. after buying the vehicle we discovered unique consumer friendly conveinces and overall engineering quality. great car!!!!!!!!!

  Great vehicle all around - 2004 Kia Sorento

  Bought this vehicle after testdriving the Hyundai Sante Fe and Mazda Tribute. This has much more room. Excellent head room and room for 3 adults in back. Handles great.Looks great. Have 4500 miles already on this 2004 LX and have not had a single problem. We have highway mountains to climb and this has plenty of power.

  This car has outperformed any car I have had in the past including Hondas, GM, Ford, Chrysler, etc. Most comfortable car I have ever owned, also the power is unreal. Its got to have more than the 200 horses advertised. No problems with anything ...dealer is less than desirable though.

  This is the perfect mid-sized SUV, with one exception...12MPG gas mileage. how can a Koren vehicle have every ammenity under the sun and still not be created with fuel efficiency in mind? I chose the beige colored EX model LOADED with everything except towing package. I traded in a 2002 loaded Suzuki XL-7 for this vehicle and was like going from a Yugo to Lexus. Not even close (in my eyes) as far as quality of interior and "feel". Again, great all around SUV...HORRIBLE MPG!

  Going to buy another one, new 2008? - 2004 Kia Sorento

  We are presently considering buying another Sorento. A new 2008. There is nothing wrong with our 2004 that we bought new. It has been a trouble free vehicle. It has far exceeded our expectations compared to many other SUVs we have owned. It is my wifes vehicle. Biggest problem I have trying to convince her to get a new one is that she is in love with this one. Every time Kia sends me the big discount offer and owner loyalty offer, and I start talking to her about getting a new one, she tears up. "But I like this one!"

  2004 EX 4WD - 2004 Kia Sorento

  I just purchased a 2004 Sorento EX 4WD with luxury package, ABS, and spoiler. The car was for my wife who had fallen in love with the Sorento. I must say that for the 48 hours Ive had it Im very pleased. The build quality seems excellent. We have the EX with luxury package so it has all the bells and whistles. Pretty fun to drive, but I havent taken it off road yet. Ill update my reviews after Ive got some more miles on her. I rated reliability as a 5 because of the short time I owned the car.

  I love my Serento. I looked at other SUVs and there wasnt enough room or power. This is classy and tough to handle my life and well worth it.

  My biggest hangup with the Sorento was admittedly the Kia name and presumed poor qulality. However, my first test drive was a shocker...plenty of power, buttery smooth shifting(5 spd)and a very comfortable interior. The looks arent bad either, borrowing lines from the Acura MDX, Lexus and Mercedes. Kia has taken a giant leap from the punky Sportage to the Sorento, and with the newly available sports package, it comes well trimmed and off-road ready. Its priced with the CRV and RAV4 but compares well with the 4Runner and other mid sized SUVs. Dont buy in this category without honestly testing the Kia first.
