The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

  I Love My Sorento! - 2004 Kia Sorento

  After wanting to purchase a Spectra and deciding to go with the Sorento, I am a very satisfied customer. I love my Sorento and Im very pleased with my purchase. There are so many features on my Sorento that I would imagine would only come with a Lexus or a BMW, such as the side curtain airbags, child seat safety belt in the back, seats that fold flat, cruise control on the steering wheel, and snow traction. I went over a year before needing to replace a headlight bulb, a light above the license plate, and an interior light. I also like the shelf in the glove box that allows me to put my insurance card and business cards there so they dont get lost in the bottom of the compartment.

  When I first ran across this SUV in an ad I thought no way, but the price created curiosity. Once I test drove it and compared it to similar SUVs like the Pilot and a Trailblazer it was hands down the superior vehilce. It handles great, accelerates well (very important in Houstons no signal/blinker culture) and is very confortable. Has cost me $120 in tickets because my wife enjoys the acceleration but not bad for being pulled over 6 times in 3 wks! Only problem has been lights (head, rear blinker) short circuiting.

  I fell in love with this SUV. For the price and safety features you can not go wrong.Safety rating are a big plus. Side air bags, steel reenforced doors/frame, and a drop down engine where very important for protection of my family. 10yr/100,000 mile warranty is best amoung most.

  I had my heart set on a Toyota Sequoia,but after test driving the 2004 Kia Sorento I was hooked. The body style caught my eye. Its sporty and solid. Not only is it a great looking vehicle, it costs thousands less than the Toyota SUVs even with the luxury package!

  Everything about it i love. safe,fun,reliable. I have owned many cars mostly ford and GM but the serento by far is my favorite.highly recomend

  When I started looking into the SUV market I had never considered KIA. Korean made....how good can it be? A visit a to a local dealership and a test drive soon convinced me. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the vehicle. It is very well made, offers a great ride, comfortable, 5 star crash test rating, awesome sound system. The performance in snow is outstanding. It is not the best vehicle on the road for fuel economy however. Then again you are lugging around slightly over 4300 lbs so it is about as good as you can expect from a SUV of this size. It is not a Lexus but then again it is not 40K plus. Simply put it is a Great Vehicle for the $$$.

  After much research and comparing with other cars in its class (4Runner,Highlander,Escape,Liberty), I found the Sorento to be much more spacious then most of the others. With all of its features you can not touch a Toyota,Jeep, or Ford, for such a great price. I wanted a reliable and SAFE SUV for under $25,000 and the Sorento EX is awesome.

  I loved my Kia at first. It was a great size..it drove smooth. Then after only 2 months a part broke which was fortunately being recalled. Now not even a year later it overheated and the crank shaft broke. will be 5-7 thousand dollars to fix. Paid cash for the car and now Im out 6200. Cant even trade it in. If you have these problems tell them to look at the coolant leak before they fix anything else. Thats where the major problem comes from. Once it starts overheating its over. Thanks for nothing Kia.

  I PREVIOUSLY HAD PURCHASED A KIA SPORTAGE, AND I ENJOYED THAT VEHICLE, BUT THE SORENTO IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALL GAME. IT IS STYLISH, STURDY, AND HAS THAT GREAT WARRANTY. I LOOK AT ALL THE SUVS ON THE ROAD AND I FIND MYSELF SAYING, "THIS IS REALLY A NICE VEHICLE". THE ONLY NEGATIVE, IF YOU CAN CALL IT ONE, WOULD BE THE 20-22 HIGHWAY MILEAGE, AND THATS OK FOR ME. GREAT LOOKING INTERIOR AND EXCELLENT SOUND SYSTEM. I WOULD PURCHASE IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
