Overview & Reviews
Although it's been on sale in other parts of the world under a different name, the 2007 Kia Rondo is all new for the U.S. Its proportions are more like a small minivan, but Kia is calling the all-new 2007 Rondo a sporty crossover vehicle.
- Many features for an affordable price, choice of four- or six-cylinder engine, optional seven-passenger seating, long warranty coverage.
- Cramped third-row seat, adequate but not compelling performance.

I love my Rondo! - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Liss - August 21 - 10:10 pmI replaced a Jeep Id had for 6 years. I wanted a car offering good visibility, top safety features, good styling, heated leather seats, easy to get in and out of, not too glitzy, good compartments for storage. I did not need a 3rd row of seats. I drove the comparable cars, as well as other Kia models; chose the Rondo because it offered everything I was looking for. I would not compare the Rondo to minivans, no matter what reviewers say - its in a class of its own. I get compliments all the time. Its sporty, attractive exterior styling, and roomy interior. It holds a lot of cargo! Ive owned my Rondo for over a year, and Id definitely buy another one

Fun & Satisfied - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Dennis - August 10 - 11:06 pmWith 2 small kids, our Quest minivan was more than we needed. The 7 passenger Rondo fit our needs perfectly. Normally configured with just 2 rows of seats for the 4 of us but with an optional 3rd row for family or visitors to prevent having to take 2 cars places. It test drove very nice w/great handling & enough "get up & go" in the 6-cyl to get out into traffic in a pinch. We were able to load it up w/ALL of the bells & whistles. Yes, the rear seat is tight, but Im 62" and can get back there w/about 2" to spare between my knees the middle row. Great warranty & crash tests too! Very happy!!

We love this car! - 2007 Kia Rondo
By notinks - July 28 - 2:46 amAfter reading positive reviews here, we decided to trade in our Trailblazer for the Rondo with better gas mileage as our primary goal. I drive the Kia mostly to work and back with about 1/2 of the driving being interstate highway and the rest in city. My gas mileage has averaged 22 mpg - not fantastic but better than the 17 I got with the Trailblazer. We just returned from a trip through the mountains in WY & ID and actually did 28 mpg there. The car has plenty of zip on on-ramps, which is where I usually drive. If I were going to be in mountainous areas very often, though, Id want the V6. The 4 of us had plenty of room for bodies and luggage. Overall, we love the car!

2007 Kia Rondo LX - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Rondo in CO Mts! - March 14 - 6:30 amAn underrated overperformer! Its surprising to me that Car & Driver and other car reviewers have not given this car the same marks as those who own it. Those in the know love it! A superb family car for an incredibly low price! Weve done trips of 1000K plus w/ 4 adults and two kids (and thule box) in comfort. Pretty interior, great stereo. Drop into 4th or 3rd when passing and you have NO worries on hills or passing - make the six cylinder work! It can handle it. Slide middle row forward and you can get six adults in -- although tight. Looked at Ford Freestyle; Escape; Mazda 5; and others. By far this was the best for the money. Get the six cylinder.

First Observation - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Buffpilot - February 4 - 6:50 pmJust got our Rondo EX, I am 63" and Rondo has excellent headroom and good legroom. Great build quality, excellent driveability. Too early to give estimate of fuel economy.

2007 LX no troubles even at 93,000 miles - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Sue Peterson - October 19 - 4:32 pmall it needs is oil changes and tires. Never even had to replace brakes. Did do the struts as corners were mushy. Cheapest car to run that I have ever owned.

Mazda beater - 2007 Kia Rondo
By bguds - September 2 - 1:40 amI felt a bit too snug on the Mazda5. The Rondo seemed much more roomy.

Different but Nice - 2007 Kia Rondo
By John - June 30 - 3:50 amI have a Chrysler Voyager Minivan, and this Rondo is the preferred vehicle of the household. Great storage space, and roomy front and back seats, even with a car seat. I love all the extras they give you with this Ex model. This has more standard features than the Voyager had, and is much more fun to drive.

2007 KIA Rondo - 2007 Kia Rondo
By Dakota29803 - August 13 - 7:50 amI bought my Rondo in November, 2007. I had been looking at compact SUVs, wagons, etc. I had not found any vehicle that I liked the looks, storage space and price until I saw the Rondo. I fell in love immediately and bought it. No regrets. It is more comfortable, more economical and better driving than my 2004 Jeep Liberty.
