Overview & Reviews
For 2004, Jaguar has reduced the base price of the X-Type 3.0 by almost $3,000. In other news, the Sport Package now includes 18-inch wheels and a 320-watt sound system. All X-Types get redesigned alloy wheels, as well as a revised front bumper and new foglights. The trunk lid has been reshaped and the push-button release for the trunk is now easier to operate.
- Comfortable highway ride, attractive styling inside and out, standard all-wheel drive, large trunk.

Love my Jag - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By moni - February 20 - 12:36 amI have had my car for a few years now. I bought it used in 06 and now it is 09. I have just done the 60k tune up and I still love it as much as the day I brought it home. It is older, has some scratches but I love the AWD (main reason I didnt buy a Mercedes) and it suits me and my personality. I have never had any problems at all with my car... and now if I had the money would probably buy the new one!! Jag baby... Jag.

Very Nice Used Purchase - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By Massachusetts Driver - February 13 - 1:10 pmI recently purchased a 2004 jaguar x type. It runs great and is incredibly roomy. The trunk is huge and the rear seats fold down for skis, and other large objects in the trunk. I paid $18,300 for a 2004 (3 years old) and am happy with my deal. The car is quiet, comfortable and fast. I also have been averaging close to 25 MPG on the highway. I have checked out the BMWs and find as new and used cars they are very expensive. The Jag offers a less harsh ride, and a far more economical used purchase. All amenities work well, and the car is really a value. It also offers a slightly more individualistic and eccentric statement than the BMW.

Satisfied, but... - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By Papucho - November 10 - 11:20 amThe only complaint is that the data on the trip computer window is very difficult to read, specially when the sunlight changes. This defect should be corrected with a recall. Recently I drove a 2005 Ford Taurus with a similar trip computer for two weeks in Florida. The readings on its green window were very sharp all the time. I am willing to pay for the correction, if need be.

The awesome Jaguar - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By Jaguarantony - August 14 - 10:00 amThe new Jaguar X-type is an excellent vehicle. The car is very Jaguar. It handles and corners very well. A great deal of people dont know enough about Jaguar. The 3.0 V-6 is very quick, 0-60 in about 6.6-6.8 seconds, I have the 2.5 with a manual, and this is their base model car. Jaguars fastest car is the XJR. It is rated at 0-60 time of 5.0 seconds. As for the interior of the X-type,it has gorgeous wood maple veneer, and beautiful Rolls Royce like interior. The critics are overly too critical of the X-type.

2004 X-Type - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By Monty414 - August 2 - 2:00 am2004 X-Type. Love this car. A lot of luxury for a relatively low price. No problems or issues as described her by other buyers. Cabin interior is quiet. WI climate has been cold/snowy and the AWD is excellent. Styling is nice and interior fit/finish is excellent. The only criticism to offer relates to mileage (it could be better for a compact), but in the near luxury class who can complain? :-) Not an XJ, but at this price its a great substitute! Jenkins Jaguar here in MKE has been wonderful to deal with.
