For 2004, Jaguar has reduced the base price of the X-Type 3.0 by almost $3,000. In other news, the Sport Package now includes 18-inch wheels and a 320-watt sound system. All X-Types get redesigned alloy wheels, as well as a revised front bumper and new foglights. The trunk lid has been reshaped and the push-button release for the trunk is now easier to operate.

By DAVE JR. - July 15 - 10:00 amI just love my new x-type 2.5 liter. I love everything about except that I wish that I had purchased the 3.0 liter instead. My friend has the 3.0 liter and it has the punch that I wanted. I love everything else about the car and have no complaints here.

By TJONES - July 15 - 10:00 amI purchased my X-type 6 months ago and it has been pleasure ever since. It is great on the commute between different parts of L.A. and It has 15000 miles on it already. The ride is very smooth and stable and the interior is very warm and inviting. The car does a steady 90 mph without hesitation and the wood and leather trim interior is perfect. The words summed up for the x-type are S-T-Y-L-E.

By KKear - June 12 - 2:00 amStarted out looking at Subaru H6 Outback sedad and 30K, then realized that this is Jag X/BMW 3 money. All the road test guys say buy BMW 3, and everybody does. Rather than be another mindless Bimmer driver, we chose Jag X- type 3.0. Rides smooth, handles good. 21 mpg so far. Stay away from sport package and 5 stick-they ruin the cars driving dynamic. Road test car youre going to buy-some have vibration at 55- 70 mph as stated by other reviewers. Classic Cars in CHerry Hill NJ was best buying experience ever!!

The level of service, the quality of manufacture, and the styling is unsurpassed. I have driven under every possible condition, to inlude city driving in Hawaii and 140 mph on the Autobahn in Germany. Jaguar has excelled in the design of this car. I am proud to own one.

AWD is just not for winter - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By WinterDriver - March 17 - 8:36 pmGreat vehicle for both winter and summer. There are several small nuisance problems, but no major issues. The dashboard defrost vents, cracking leatherette (handbrake and 5- speed shifter cover) are a few issues that have been rectified under warranty. The interior is tight, consistent with Jaguar lineage. The sports seats are the best of their kind, and will hold you in better than glue. To that effect, they are not for the obese or overweight. Well balanced handling, a bit of a long clutch for the 5-speed manual, but a very fun car to drive, and a definite improvement over my last Mercedes. Great price, too.

By pimpedoutsaab - February 5 - 2:00 amWe just got a Jaguar 3.0 Sport. The car is awesome! The way it preforms is just as good as my sisters BMW 325ci, if not better. I really think that AWD was a great feature, very helpful in bad weather. The car is gorgeous on the inside. I disagree about it not being welcoming, in fact its very welcoming, and just all around a wonderful interior design. All of the features are well thought out, and plenty easy to use. I would recomend this car to anyone that wants a smaller can thats fun to drive and that gets lots of stares when driving down the road.

Cup holders only problem - 2004 Jaguar X-Type
By Margi - January 20 - 10:00 amOne cup holder is not enough for the driver and a passenger. Everything else is wonderful. I love the double takes when I drive it.
