After too many years of conservative sweating, my wife and I decided to have a little fun with a car. The G35 coupe appealed and now its her car. Im finding too many excuses to drive it because...its fun! Not as fast as my Ultra-fast bike of yore, a lttle to small for a 6-4" guy and sucks a little to much gas, but what does an engineer know. Best "tweener" I could imagine for my wife and I. Everyone hit most of the Hi/Low points head on. Verdict - Great Time and Value.

This is by far the best bang for your buck that you can get on the market. This is a fast sports sedan with luxury appointments.

  • Best car for the money - 2004 Infiniti G35

For $35,000 there isnt a car that comes close. I looked at the BMW 330Xi first. It was $8,000 more and didnt have the power and some of the ammenities that the Infiniti had. You have to spend $50-$55k for a German vehicle that can compete with the G35. The Acura TL is nice but a front-wheel drive sedan with 270hp is something I would not drive. Test drove, after pulling out of the dealership the torque steer almost pulled the car into the left lane. Immediately went back to the dealer and gave back keys. Fine if you drive 55mph but if you are aggressive you do not want the TL.

Test drove the BMW 325, Mercedes 230K, VW Passat, and an Acura TSX. All were too small for a person 6 feet tall who occassionally carry other passengers. The VWs performance was not on par with the other tested cars. Overall performance was above the others. Handling is "right now" with very accurate steering response, directional control and acceleration. The rearview mirror tends to block my center visions somewhat, but other than that this is a well balanced car. The dynamics of the vehicle impart the feeling of you being a better driver, able to respond and avoid obstacles dropped by careless movers--sofas, mattresses, etc.

  • I love this car - 2004 Infiniti G35

Ive had my G35 for about ten days now. Its a great car and a lot of fun to drive. I had read reviews on the 03, and saw a lot of comments about the brake dust. I had no idea what brake dust even looked like. However, I do know now. I do get brake dust on the front wheels. I do still love the car though. I do need to take it in to have the tire pressure gauge re-calibrated. Hopefully this wont be a problem in the future.

  • Engine longevity in question - 2004 Infiniti G35

I purchased my infinity in 2007 with 35,000 miles on odometer. I purchased it because it was rated top in all catagories to include engine performance and low incidence of repair. Recently, I have had a severve problem with engine consuming oil (2 qts. per month). I contacted infinity dealer and they told me to replace both valve covers at $250 per cover. It was a 50\50 chance that it would cure the oil copnsumption problem. After $800 in parts and labor, my infinitety continues to cunsume oil. It appears that the only fix for this problem is the purchase of a new engine. The car is now out of warranty to include oringinal warranty and a 3 year extended warranty purchased in 2007. Trapped!

  • BMW Killer :) - 2004 Infiniti G35

This is one killer ride! I had to wait 5 months for delivery (6MT with NAVI is hard to come by), but believe me, it was well worth the wait. This car is a great blend of a number of different things, and for the price, it simply cannot be matched. Youll hear some reviews squawk about the interior, but please understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I happen to love the interior. I think its sporty & edgy with a functional feel. My advice is this: simply test drive all other vehicals in this class, and leave the G for last. Always save the best for last :)

its fast, sleek, and lots of fun to drive. gas milage not bad for a high performer. gives me great pleasure to step on the gas when I have some teenage tailgater on my rear bumper and leave him/her in the dust. the bose sound system is great as well-when I first cranked it up, I thought there was an air leak in the front door til I realized it was the speaker by my calf vibrating my pants leg!
