Sedans get standard heated outside mirrors, heated front seats and, on leather-equipped six-speed models only, a four-way power passenger seat and a limited-slip differential. Other changes include a standard tire-pressure monitoring system, Low Emissions Vehicle status and a revised front console with an additional cupholder on leather-equipped six-speed coupes. 2004 also sees the addition of an all-wheel-drive sport sedan to the G35 lineup.

Brake Eater - 2004 Infiniti G35
By BayouDriver - May 11 - 11:36 pmThis car is fun to drive, great on long trips as well as short. It also looks great and Ive run across several Mercedes owners who looked at both and wished they had bought the G35 Sedan instead. You certainly dont have to worry about having enough power and acceleration for two- lane driving or Interstate maneuvering. But, it does have some maintenance issues that need to be addressed by Infiniti/Nissan relative to their brake wear. I had a Nissan Pathfinder that has brake issues, particularly front and this car eats brakes as well.

By David Fortner - April 28 - 7:23 pmPeople ask me why I bought an "expensive" car - my answer is that, over 5 years, its probably cost me less than whatever theyre driving. 140K miles, NOTHING to fix. Oil, brakes, tires - thats it. Runs, looks, feels almost like new. Big power, room, a blast to drive. Quality costs less in the long run.

OK for a second car - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Don Paluh - April 12 - 2:20 pmI got played by the dealer, so I started with a negative attitude. I had several intermittent electrical problems which were never fixed despite several trips to the dealer. For the exceptionally stiff ride and cramped quarters, it doesnt handle any better than my VW Passat. Roll down the window in the rain and get soaked, and the wipers seem to leave a constant puddle on the windshield right in front of my field of view. Fuel economy is well below claims, even if you dont get into it. Cow-catcher front end scrapes most speed bumps and driveway aprons. The rating number is actually going to come out high because of the actual rating questions do not cover any of the problem areas.

Better Engineering than Comfort - 2004 Infiniti G35
By bbqbrisket - December 2 - 10:00 amI hope they implement this AWD in the larger vehicles in the future. Tranny slips a little in auto-mode on low gears. Engine is a little on the noisy side. No power outlet in back seat area for kids to plugs games into. Power seats need to have a designated switch for "up" & "down" only. Ergonomically and awakard difficulty in closing trunk. Handle on the inside right. Most people have their keys in their right hand and would be pulling down with their left, if they could. But one still needs two hands to close it. Too much feel of road bumps.

Reliable AWD performance - 2004 Infiniti G35
By carwhitton - December 2 - 10:00 amGreat car. Very powerful but not as fast as the 2WD. Great exterior and great list of features. Interior is OK, could be improved with a little better quality of plastic/surface. Seats are really comfortable. NAV system is definitely a plus but hard to get, no idea why.

Beautiful car, but too many problems. - 2004 Infiniti G35

Upon review of the Infiniti Vehicle Service I found so many problems already corrected from replacing the stereo/radio, seat heater switches, seat track, rotors brakes, tire pressure sensors, and more. Once I completed the required recall Ive had an airbag light issue now. My car is about 5,000 miles over warranty and Infiniti has refused to do anything to help. The first problem they told me the passenger side airbag and module needed replacing. So I paid the $785 to fix. Not a week after getting the car back, it comes on again. Now theyve told me they need to replace the drivers side airbag at another $785. Then they cant even guarantee this will fix it.

very fun, luxurious, sporty car - 2004 Infiniti G35

So far Ive loved every part of it, its very fun to drive, very easy to modify if your into those type of things, very pleasing to the eyes. A few problems I have found with the car are that I have two problems with the windows, one has a lazy motor and one has a cliping problems, sometimes when I close the passenger door the window rolls halfway down a second later (sometimes I dont notice). Other problems I have had are minor (seat height control stoped working). But over all I love this car, very fast, kinda bad on gas but thats what you get for how much power you get. I am very happy with my G!

By aaron87 - October 17 - 5:51 pmI own two G35s. A 2003 sedan and a 2004 coupe - both automatics. Review is for the coupe. Overall great cars. Im constantly finding excuses to drive it because its so fun. I prefer the couple over the sedan - the sedan is more roomy and a bit more comfortable, but the coupe is more sexy, sporty, and youthful looking. Styling wise, its hard for the average person to tell its 7-8 years old. Looks modern and sporty. Biggest difference performance-wise between the two models is the coupe is lower to the ground, and there seems to be less body roll when turning aggressively. When you sit in the couple it feels more like a race car. Not any faster than the sedan, though.

By InfinitiG35Owner - August 27 - 10:00 amFaster than 90% of the cars on the road. Dont expect great off the line acceleration with the 6 speed. A WRX Subaru blows it away. Mid range speeds however, prepare to eat BMW M3s for lunch.
