This Year's Model Updates:

The G35 is Infiniti's new entry-level luxury sport sedan. Aimed at buyers who would otherwise choose an Audi A4, BMW 3 Series or Lexus IS 300, the G35 offers impressive performance and comfort for a price that's less than most of the competition's.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • No manual transmission available yet for the sedan, average interior material quality.

  • Sporty and Fun - 2003 Infiniti G35

I thought my 2000 Maxima was fun to drive, however the G35 brings many smiles to face. I love the power and handling of this car. I was going to buy a bmw 330i this year, however I had to give the infiniti g35 a chance because of all the excitement surrounding the G. I love this car. Its fast, good handling, drop dead gorgeous and enough room to haul my kids around.

Traded my 98 A4 on the G35 last week. This is one great car. Solid direct handling with stock suspension. Stunning perfomance even with the automatic. Wont believe it until you drive it. Soft leather but very supportive seats. Terrific brakes. Quiet cabin. Havent had this much fun driving in years.

  • Not bad but lacking - 2003 Infiniti G35

Im surprised reading all the good reviews for this car. Sure, the car looks great but there are some things one should consider before buying. First, let me say I have not driven the car, went to the dealership to check it out and thats where it ended. The dashboard is just not nice, its small and not revealing a pricey car. The front seats are nice, and thats all. The back seats are a disaster waiting to happen. Im 5.11 feet tall and I could not use the back seat without hitting the rear window ! I wouldnt put anyone on the back seat from fear of getting them hurt on any little bump on the road.

  • Reliable Performance Car - 2003 Infiniti G35

I have to say overall this has been a very reliable car. After 182,000 miles, it still runs strong and has very little problems. However, over the life of my ownership, I have had to replace the wiper motor, rear axle bearings, radio/climate control electronics and driver seat slide mechanism. It also, as others have noted, has a weak design of the front wheel struts which continually creak when making hard turns. This is especially noticeable during cold winters. I have averaged 28 miles on the highway which is 90% of my yearly miles so it is respectable. All in all Im sold on Infiniti and have just purchased an 08 M35 as a replacement.

  • Great Car for the money - 2003 Infiniti G35

This car is a blast to drive. When you push its limits, it doesnt fade like a regular stock vehicle. The brakes and engine dont overheat. This car likes to get it and go. I have no complaints except for the gas mileage which started out at about 16mpg in mixed driving, and 17 on pure hwy. I used a Slick 50 type lube at my first oil change, and within a 2000 miles was getting 18/22. I will try synthetic oil next, and see how that goes. Worth buying in case you are on the fence.

  • The Infinity Smile - 2003 Infiniti G35

While styling initially drew me to this sport coupe, it was the performance that led me to buy it. With crisp handling, 280 horsepower, and a 6 pseed transmission, its the most fun car to drive since -- well since a 1969 Olds 442. Of course the Infinity has more luxury, features and superior handling. Driving this car brings a smile to my face.

  • Best sports coupe for the price - 2003 Infiniti G35

I was on the verge to buy a BMW 330 coupe when I test drove the G35 sports coupe. The car impressed me so much that I dismissed my intent to buy the BMW and began to seek a dealer who could deliver a G35 consistent to my specs.

Fun car to drive, practical and upscale for a sports car. Real rear seat space. Sounds powerful and accelarates smoothly. Exterior is truely a work of art.

  • Good, but not a BMW Killer - 2003 Infiniti G35
    By -

I was excited about the Infiniti G35; the advertised empirical data trumped all comers including my BMW 3. The G35 did not disappoint on styling and features. I considered the BMW 5, surprisingly the G35 was larger in the back seating leg room, trunk, and front seat head room. The "Killer App" for all these near luxury sport sedans is the blend of sport, luxury, comfort, and convenience. BMW has found it, and no one knocked them off the podium. The G35s ride it tight, the acceleration is strong, the torque is tremendous, but the combination doesnt approach the BMW’s feel (it must be magic). Sorry Infinity, you still have some work to do - close but no cigar.

  • Look what theyve don to my Max(i)Ma... - 2003 Infiniti G35

My 90 Maxima was the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, hands down. A decade search for a "step up" from that vehicle is finally over. Peace, love, and rear wheel drive!
