Overview & Reviews
The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.
- Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
- Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

Awesome to drive but poor quality - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Joe - May 11 - 7:10 pmThe G35X is THE most fun car to drive that Ive ever owned in 30 years of driving. Outstanding performance, agile, smooth. Only two small issues with the car, that would have made the car "perfect". First -- interior quality. There is a squeak in the drivers door, that the dealer cannot find or fix. Back 3 times, still no fix. Very frustrating. Second is the very touchy brakes. Extremely sensitive, and also wear quickly. Dealer replaced them free of charge after less than 20k miles after reported a brake squeal. So -- GREAT to drive, but 2 annoying issues.

I am so impressed - 2005 Infiniti G35
By accoustictex - March 2 - 8:00 amI have driven a lot of cars in my day. Pound for pound, this is the best car ever made. Fast, yet luxurious. All the finer things in a car are here, except the high price.

A Fun Car to Drive - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Brittany - March 1 - 12:03 amSince the day I bought my Infiniti G35 Coupe, I get noticed every where I go, from old people to young teenagers. Driving this car is like driving on cloud nine. You can go as fast or slow as you want and you feel so secure and comfortable. On long drives, its so comfortable I want to pull over and just fall asleep in it. It is sexy, luxious, sporty, and I dont know anyone who doesnt think it is one of the hottest cars on the market.

everything the 350Z isnt - 2005 Infiniti G35
By kiddough - February 22 - 9:29 pmvery nice car, doesnt look 8 years old. body style is timeless. if you can, get a 06 6-speed but @ least try to get a 05 they did a much needed refresh. got almost 90,000 miles on the original clutch. i was looking for a 350Z but i could find one with the options i wanted & the G35 has all those options standard so i got the G35. also most 350Zs are modded to hell!

Great sports car alternative - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Nkoonce - February 4 - 12:50 amHave had the car for a year and it is just as much fun to drive today as it was the day I bought it. Handles great and the sports car sound makes it even more fun. Has a surprising amount of interior space. Gets alot of attention.

Very Impressed - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Michael K - January 17 - 7:30 amI have had a number of cars, but I have to say I have never loved a car so much this far into ownership. I am usually bored and ready to get rid of a car after not even a year but not Infiniti! The quality is just impressive to me. I had it in the dealer shop a couple of times but nothing major. The gas mileage is really good to me, especially for a luxury car. The transmission is the absolute smoothest of any car I have ever driven or rode in, sometimes feels like your driving a CVT transmission! This is definitely a car that will last a long time if taken care of.

WOW! WHAT A SWEET CAR! LOVE IT! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Dancers Mom - December 20 - 3:13 amHubby got me this car for a "big" bday. We were looking at Jags too. Glad we picked this one (heard Jags arent too reliable). Its a beauty - black on black! Its fun to drive and easy to park. Last 2 cars were Nissan Maximas, which were really good cars, but didnt make my toes curl, if you know what I mean... ha ha! Dont hesitate if you are thinking of buying one of these babies!
