Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

Just sold my coupe...had it for over 2 years and put 21K miles on it. Gorgeous...quick...fun to drive...but the coupe with the 6 speed is designed for people that are into the car. It does carry a relatively low sales price, but the maintenance required on this automobile is similar to a 60K Mercedes. Brembo brakes...they work great..but they are expensive and wear out at around 20K miles...tires (18" rims)...expensive...and get very loud as they wear out...will last you about 15-20K miles depending on how you drive, tire pressure, etc. I always had people tell me how beautiful my car was....which made me feel good about the expenditures. Great styling....Cant wait for the 07 model

Beautiful car, outstanding interior with the leather and wood accents. Very well built, extremely quiet, doors close like a dream (snug, quiet). Cabin space for driver is a bit snug and gas mileage is bad, not close to what sticker claims (I do only have 4000 miles on it yet, so maybe I need to give it a few more miles to break in). Steering wheel controls should be illuminated for better viewing at night,

Pluses: Fantastic pickup, the gas pedal reacts instantly like youre astride a big Harley; tight handling; a real fun car to drive; smooth, soft leather and tight cushiony seats; no defects found; straight-forward sales experience Minuses: wind noise even at low speeds is quite noticeable--maybe from windshield or from tires; also, enginge noise is considerable; gas milage combined city/hwy only about 17mpg and needs premium to get best pep

I have had my coupe for 2 years now and never get tired of driving it. other than short brake pad life and brake dust the car is an absoulute gem It has handled the tough new england winters with out a hitch (the 4 ws50 blizzacks were an absolute must) Gone through 2 sets of rear tires and one speeding ticket.an absolute pleasure to own!I plan to go for the 2007 model!

Brought this car brand new. Seems smallish inside but very roomy even for me at 62". With only 41k miles we are on our second set of brakes... luckily they were covered under warranty. Very dependable only two trips to the dealership for the brakes. I would buy another G35 in a heart beat!!!

Shopped the five local dealerships and found out the sales tactics have fallen way behind compared to when i purchased my I30T in 1996. Can only recommend one of the five. Ordered the car and it took 4 months to get it; wouldnt do it again.

A very easy automobile to recommend to anyone who loves to really drive! Handling & power is just about up there with some exotics! 18" wheels are not needed for great handling. That says something! Ride is somewhat stiff but comfortable. So to the seats. After a year, I can report no reliability problems or defects. Dealership cators to every request. Car has a very solid feel along with nice build quality although some materials in the interior are average at best. Not crazy about the orange lighting in guages. Checking the oil is an adventure due to the type & location of the dipstick. CD player cant read MP3s (corrected for 2005)

  • Great value and fun to drive - 2004 Infiniti G35

This car is a great value. It provides wonderful handling, great power, excellent appearance and decnt gas mileage. I have previously owned several Lexus, a MBZ SLK model and this car is far superior to the Mercedes and cheaper as well. It is not quite as quiet as the Lexus but it is much more fun to drive and is definitely a "drivers" car. I believe itis the best value on the road, far better than the Lexus ES 330 or the Acura TL.

I used to drive a BMW 3 series that almost made me bankrupt due to tons of mechanical problems.Thank God after a thorough research, I traded my Bmw for this car and it has never disappointed. I will always be an Infiniti owner.

Tested a 325i, 330i, I35, A4, 9-3, TL, IS300 & ES330 and a used GS400. Almost got the GS400 since it is the epitomy of sport & luxury but wanted a new car. The G35 is a great car for sport and some luxury for the price. My ideal car would have been a new GS300 or affordable 330i, however. The 330i is still the best in this class but offers too little interior space and is too pricey. Interior on the G35 is nice but isnt best in class since the gray plastic center console is cheaper than the Murano. The dealer installed wood option is also no match for Lexus or BMW.
