The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

No Regrets from a Grown-up Gearhead - 2005 Infiniti G35
By M. Johnson - December 1 - 2:53 pmFirst, I must be honest and state that I bought the car only three months ago. Since I have put about 900 miles on it. It rides smooth but lets you feel the torgue at command. It is the perfect hybrid if you love your sports car with a hint of luxury. The inside is clean and sleek and the honestly feel that the outside is timeless and will be an eyeturner for years to come. When I was a teenager I always loved the 300zx for its styling inside and out. When the new 350z came out I was disappointed at the bare bones muscle, and plastic type set up. The G35 Coupe is what the new 350z should be. Hell, they have the same engine.

I do Extensive research before buying a car so I get a good deal and am as pleased as possible with my purchase. But thats why I generally go back for another purchase - theres either something that could be better with my car or theres something better in a newer car. After purchasing/driving the G35, I can say this is without a doubt The Best car Ive ever owned. Interior finishes truly luxury. Exterior styling is sporty, but understated. Driving experience is unmatched: Very powerful, smooth daily driver, and yet will respond to aggressive driving nicely

Power and Handling - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Rich - November 23 - 9:40 amI bought this car in November and have driven it for 2 months. It lives up to its billing performance wise. The car has near muscle car power and corners like its on the "proverbial" rails. As expected the ride is ultra firm and you can feel every crack in the pavement. Steering is precise if not a bit too stiff. If you live in the north beware, the car is terrible in snow. I also have the Nav system and without the touch screen, it is much less user friendly the the one in my 01 Acura CL. You really have to pull over to change virtually any setting. The joystick vs. touchscreen is a mistake. All things considered, this is a fun car to drive, but does have some downsides

World Beater on a Budget - 2005 Infiniti G35
By JM in FL - November 10 - 6:30 pmThe G35 coupe is the finest vehicle Ive ever had the fortune to own. Certainly, there are higher performing or higher luxury vehicles out there. But few cars at this price point combine such ample parts performance, refinement, and inspiring form *and* function. While some cars, it seems, are so “perfect” that they are little more than lifeless, artless appliances devoted only to the task of being faithful, workday conveyances, the G35 hasnt forgotten that a few people in this country actually enjoy driving. The G35 encourages spirited driving and inspires personal attachment by channeling a passionate personality that is greater than the sum of its parts.

By SCP - October 26 - 9:10 pmThis car is gorgeous. Wish they could have just given up the extra two horses to make it an even 300hp. Regardless itll pin you to your seat even at 60mph. Nice interior, great features and supurb handling. Tell me the difference between this and a Porsche C2; about 30k in my pocket with a nicer better equipped car in my garage. I love my new ride. I travel for work and trust me I can not wait to get home and drive it. Go take one for a spin, youll be hooked.

buyers remorse - 2005 Infiniti G35
By MikeH - October 12 - 4:53 amWhile the 2005 G35X is fun to drive in a straight line and pretty goon on flat turns, after just 4 months I am ready to take a bath on it and get a 2006 BMW 3 series. The brake peddle squeeks, the windows rattle too much and there is a noise in the pillar that drives me nuts. It is fun to drive, roomy and less than a BMW, but as they say you get what you pay for and it doesnt feel near as solid as a Jetta I once had. After just 1000 miles the firm solid ride turned into a floating avg. car. To me its little more than an Altima with luxury features. I got XM, Premium, DVD in mine. Over all I am very disappointed with the purchase.

By Mike - October 7 - 9:36 pmAfter many years of new cars, the G35x is, without a doubt, the best most classy-fun car that Ive had. IMO it beats the competition (Acura, BMW, Lexus & MB) in performance, styling and value. "Classic good looks" is how Motor Trend described it I think. I know that some have commented about the quality of the interior materials on the 03 & 04 Gs ... well not to worry. The inside of the 05 G is superb ... add to this the performance and realiability and you have a winner with a capital W.

By PeterC - October 4 - 1:00 amWanted one for 2 years, finally bought one. Test driving doesnt compare to taking it home. Its burst out of the light with everyone else left in the dust. Its so much fun to drive. Sounds fantastic, feels like a true GT sports car. Exceeded my expectations of this car by far. On another note. Dealer was fantastic. Kudos to Infinity of Columbus for their excellent customer service and sales staff. Very well treated.

Happy Driver! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By lolo - October 3 - 9:13 pmGot my 05 Sedan last day of April. Have driven 750 very happy miles. Ive been driving a boat (Suburban) for so long, I forgot what acceleration was! Love the looks of this car, and the handling cant be beat! Every morning when I start it up, a get that great, hearty HUMMMMM, its awesome! My mom has an 05 BMW 5 series, and when she drove my G35 sedan, she said "I could have saved $18,000 and been really happy with this car!"
