The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

By timsit - February 24 - 12:36 amJust purchased the G35 coupe with prem. pkg. Its an absolute blast to drive! Great performance and great looks - you cant beat it for the price. The car is great overall although a few minor things could use improvement.

By Paul - February 23 - 6:16 pmBest Car Ive ever owned. Beautiful Women looking with that look in their eyes when looking at the car. They never did that with my old Honda Civic, Ill tell you that. Exterior design is beautiful, although I prefer the coupe styling the 2005 revision was a nice upgrade. Interior needs slight improvement but it is better than last year. The drive is nice & smooth. The ride is clean & comfortable, what you expect from an luxury vehicle. Also, when you want you can kick in the sport aspect with the 280 horsepower. Its a beautiful car & my friends with a new BMW 3 series or Audi A4 series are regretting their purchases now.

Just Purchased - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Recent College Grad - February 1 - 11:56 amHaving just purchased a pre-owned G35x, I can only offer my initial thoughts. The exterior design, particularly with chrome wheels and tinted windows, is upscale without being too flashy. I cant get enough of the acceleration and handling which blow the doors off my previous car, an Audi A4. I echo the general comments about poor fuel economy and somewhat sub-standard interior plastics which contrast the quality-feeling upholstery. For bang for the buck, however, you cant top the G35, especially if you wait a year and save 10 grand on a pre-owned.

By gatech - January 28 - 4:56 pmThe 2005 G35 is a great car for the money. 280hp and the smooth shifting auto make this a very fun car to drive. I looked at previous models, but I wasnt impressed with the interior. The 2005 interior is a big improvement.

The powerful VQ motor will get you excited each time you turn the ignition On, overall its a fun car with a lot to offer, I like the style better than the G37 newer model, no offense, as a G35 driver I must say that this sports car will make you feel like a teenager again, turns heads especially the girls, a good value automobile.

The acceleration is acceptional and with the sport-tuned suspension in the hills, I have to remind myself that its not a race car and to SLOW DOWN! Its been years since Ive driven a sedan and I hadnt realized how good it could be.

By zach23 - December 27 - 9:11 pmThis is truly an astonishing machine. The bond that I have shared with Infiniti has moved me to become an Infiniti salesman. First off I have owned two this model, a 2004 g35 manual and now a 2005. Opt for the 2005 if you have the option, it has a sexier hood taillights and other features, like more horsepower etc. It drives amazing. We have a lot of hills and curves in Wisconsin so I can truly say I have tested these cars. If you floor it after 3000rpm hold on tight as you are pushed into the plush leather seats. So comfortable and well built. Fuel economy is 30mpg hwy not bad for a 306 horsepower beast. You will not regret owning this vehicle I promise. Way better than is300,tl,bmw etc.

By sdecourcy - December 23 - 2:36 pmI had a 1998 Maxima SE and I just traded in my 2002 Maxima SE for the 6MT G35. This truly represents what a sports sedan is all about, nothing is compromised in this car. Style, room and performance....I really thought I was not missing much from the 02 Maxima...but was I wrong. Handling is amazing and to have rwd again is bliss. Someone asked me why I just didnt get another Maxima or a Acura TL and I started to explain, then I thought if I have to explain, they will never get it.

Love My Car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Xtremets - December 4 - 11:16 amI went from a Sport Utility to my G35 Sedan. I absolutley love it. The quality is wonderful. I have no complaints. If it matters to you gas mileage is poor. My first week driving it I got 13 miles to the gallon. I have since learned to keep my foot from zooming everywhere I go. If you are looking for quality and a nice ride this car is for you.
