This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

Great Car! Traded in my 04 Tahoe for this car. This is my 3rd sports car. Not as fast as my corvette, but its creature comforts are head and shoulders above the vette. A real head turner. The brakes are touchy, but you get used to them. Mine has the handling package. A little rough....its expected. Better gas mileage than my tahoe.

I traded my 2002 325i BMW in for a 2005 G35 coupe. The BMW is a great car, but I found it getting boring and kind of stodgy feeling. The G35 offers a sleek, modern style and wiht tons of power. I must say power is very addictive, coupled with great handling makes it fun to drive. It takes turns with much less body roll as compared to the Beemer with the sports package. The G35 is not as light or tossable as the 325i, so it takes a little of the fun away. I find the rear to slide out at times. I dont know if its the design or inadequate Dynamic control system. I like the Bose stereo, no problems and it sounds great. The seat belt is annoying as stated, but one gets used to it.

Ive had the car for three months now and so far so good.Great engine, great trans, handles awesome.I got the 19 inch wheel package which is great in dry weather so so in wet weather park it in the snow. The seats really hug the driver but can be a litte uncomfortable at times.I was suprised at how functional the trunk and back seats are for a coupe. The back seats fit two average size adults fairly comfortably and the trunk holds two suitcases. The one downside is at the pumps but you kind of know that going in.

The 05 sedan has the new look and interior that made us chose this car over the TL despite the G35 cost more. Our car has been very solid and rattle free(700 mi) and everything seems to be well put together like most Lexus that I have been into. This updated G35 should have been out few years ago.

Im totally impressed with this car. It is quick, responsive and a shear pleasure to drive. Im a little disappointed with the available headroom, as I am with most imports. Other than that, no complaints.

Overall a great value, I was comparing this car to my other option purchase vehicles: BMW 5 series,Cadillac CTX, Mercedes E-class, Audi A6. The number of standard features including, horsepower, trunk space and the options: AWD, sunroof, GPS,leather, after crunching the numbers and a test drive it was not much of a contest

I love this car. Interior features and layout provide lots of perks: storage I didnt know I needed, plug-ins for phone charging and satelite radio, logical and appropriate settings for controls. Speed and handling are a real plus. Pep and acceleration whenever it is needed. Handles better than the RX8 and BMW 3 series. Provides simultaneous sporty and luxurious ride.

This car will make you feel young. Great engine, and handling. Nice purr from exhaust. FUN to drive, comfortable, great sound system. Interior trim is perfect for a sports sedan. Large enough for 5 adults on short drives great for 4 adults on longer trips.

This is my second G35 (I had an03 coupe) Both cars have been absolutely trouble free. Even though Im 70, I still want to have fun going from A to B.and the Infiniti fills that need. I seriously considered the 330ix but the additional cost along with the fact that it seems to be the favorite car of a lot of yuppie executives gives me a certain amount of exclusivity. The only area of complaint that I have is the gas mileage, but I guess thats part of the price I pay for "having fun".

From the moment I took delivery of the G35x, Ive been quite a happy camper. There are a slew of conveniences that the car brings, such as keyless entry, memory seat settings, MP3 playback, reclining rear seats, and so much more. I am especially looking forward to its AWD capabilities once the Vermont winter creeps in. There is a great feeling when I drive through busy street intersections, and people stop what theyre doing to take notice of this fine car. You get so much car for your money.
