The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

From Porsche 944S to G35 Coupe 6MT - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Former Porsche Owner - February 27 - 5:10 pmI have owned a Porsche 944S for 22 years. As the maintenance bills began to climb it was time to buy a new vehicle. After reading many reviews the G35 6MT seemed to be my next car. This was sealed after I test drove the vehicle. The power delivery is absolutely flat in terms of torque curve and the handling is on par with my beloved Porsche. The steering is just a tad too power assisted, but beyond that, this car is just as much fun to drive. The convenience features are well thought out and executed. The service at the dealership continues my pleasant Infiniti experience. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a sporty driving experience.

The Infinitis performance is better and the overall quality equal, so the $12,000 price difference to purchase the BMW made no sense. Suggest the Sport Package if you prefer a firmer "BMW" style ride, as the standard suspension is a little bouncy. The Sport Package includes 17 inch wheels. Opt for the Premium package and with BOSE stereo system, which includes the sunroof

By Pheeeet - January 26 - 12:06 pmI purchased my 2005 G coupe in july of this year brand new and can honestly say I hate NOT driving it. I get mad when i go to sleep or have to go to work because that is taking away my G time. The "American Skyline" is a superb machine and was my choice over a Subaru WRX STI and the Evolution 8. Both cars may be a bit quicker, but there arent words to describe the feeling you get when you drive the G35. The handling is great at above average speeds and acceleration is remarkable. I would only buy this car in a manual for the simple fact that I dont think you can get the full effect of it in an auto or auto-stick. Great buy for the money.
