This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

  • The G35 Is Infiniti-ly Magnificent! ;) - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car is simply amazing!! We test drove everything in this class to be sure the G35 was "the one." Absolutely NOTHING compared, in look, feel or drive. The G35 sedan is drop-dead gorgeous outside. The inside is even nicer. The seats feel like Im driving from my couch! No more fights for the center armrest. ;) The instrument panels are cleanly arranged, giving the "featurey" feel we adore, without being fussy or complicated. At the same time the car exudes luxury, it drives like a race car! The sounds it makes are intoxicating. So is the speed! Left plenty a bigger engine in the dust, smoothly purring on past. Fast, smooth, and sleek, the G35 is definitely the best of both worlds!

  • Love this car! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I LOVE my G. I have had no problems at all with this car and Im nearing 30,000 miles. The seats are very comfy and the car is roomy enough even for my 220 lb, 6-foot-2 husband. It handles well and I drive like a demon. The gas mileage isnt great but Ill take it for the performance. I put 2 MTX 10" subwoofers in the trunk (and an 800 watt amp) a year ago with still not a vibration from anywhere. The things I would change are minor. I get many compliments on my G and would recommend to anyone - for the price I dont think you can beat it.

  • Performance and Value at its best - 2005 Infiniti G35

The 6MT G35 coupe has the perfect balance of luxury and performance. You can easily cruise around the city with the quietness and quality feel of luxury with a nice low hum of the exhaust reminding you that there is an animal inside when pushed. The car is smooth but can be rough at times (sport- tuned suspension and 19" rims) but I love the feel of the road, I feel so connected. The engine response is immediate and braking is superb. Handling is on par with the best in its class. Dont expect this car to have the luxury feel of a Lexus (interior- wise and quiet) it wasnt design that way and Infiniti did a great job balancing both performance and luxury. Its all about the experience.

  • Still new, but should be fun - 2005 Infiniti G35

Ok, Ive only had it for a very short period but the car is really fun to drive. Aside from the sub-par Bose stereo display and poor functioning rear-view mirror, I would have to say that I am happy that I chose this over the 05 GTO.

Stepping on the gas of this car is like unleashing a mad beast. You can feel it in the push you get, you can hear it when the engine growls, and you can see it as your speedometer and tachometer leap up from zero. I have the premier package, which gives me a navigation system, a Bose sound system, and power everything. This was my first grown-up car after owning compacts my whole life. I will never go back! The only drawback is in the brakes, that need to be replaced every 9,000 or so. Still, Infiniti held them under warranty for 36,000 miles, so I feel pretty good about that for the next couple of years. Buy, buy, buy!

Love the design. Performance is beyond what I expected. Gets looks on the street all the time. Underappreciated speed. Mustag sound with BMW handling.

  • Best Bang for your Buck - 2005 Infiniti G35

While researching mid-size sedans under $35,000, I found that the 2005 G35 sedan is "hands down" the best value. While in all honesty I would rather be driving the BMW 3 series, by the time you add on all the features that come standard on the G35 (such as leather) to the 3 series, youre looking at at least a $5,000 difference. The G35s handling, while not as tight as the BMWs, is quite capable of almost anything you can throw at it. All in all, if youre looking to stay under $35k, the G35 is your best bet. I am very happy with the G35s handling, acceleration, and appearance.

  • Regret 0% of my buy - 2005 Infiniti G35

Oh my gosh, is this an awesome vehicle or what. I bought it today, and have been looking at Lexus IS350, and ACURA TL. Hands Down, this vehicle performs better than both on its worse day. The staff at Infiniti of Austin is Bar None Top Notch. I have been in the Car business for 5 years, and have never had such an amazing experience. Will def. buy a new Infiniti Next Time.

  • Best car on road for the money!!! - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car is very attractive (twilight blue), extremely quick, excellent handling and braking. I have filled the tank three times and I am averaging 23 miles/gallon. The trunk is deceptively large and easily stores several luggage bags. I took one 3 hour drive in the car and it is a very comfortable highway car. The standard stereo is excellent (Bose would be unnecessary with this car).

  • I would stay with Infiniti! - 2005 Infiniti G35

This is my first "luxury" car, and I couldnt be happier with my choice. The Infiniti G35X is comfortable, handles splendidly, and has the acceleration needed to deal with everyday traffic. Of course, a weekend drive in the mountains is not much of a challenge for my G. Count me as one very satisfied Infiniti driver.
