  • I once loved it, but its a terrible car - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

Let me start by saying I love the look, feel and performance of this car. But thats where it ends. I have had problem after problem after problem with this car. Heres the list - power locks, speakers, CD changer, navigation system, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, brakes, brake calipers...and thats just what was replaced! They cant figure out why I get noise from my moonroof and water on the floor when it rains hard or the ticking from my dash when I step on the brakes on a hot day. As much as I love to drive this car...I cant wait to get rid of it. I have owned three Chevys, a Pontiac and a Mazda before this. All of them COMBINED did not have this many problems! Hopefully its a more reliable car now that its six model years later. After all of the problems Ive had with the car as well as dealing with Infiniti themselves, I will NEVER purchase another Infiniti or Nissan product.

Its just awesome! Its as fast as my 1988 Corvette and has a trunk!

  • Beautiful Gas Hog - 2004 Infiniti G35

Bought my G35 with 25000 miles on it fell in love with its styling. Took a test drive at the dealer and noticed a problem with the rotors, big time noise as the car move forward, the faster it went, the louder it got. Told the sales guy to replace the rotors and they did. I then decided to put 20 inch rims on it - WOW! It looks incredible. People just stop and stare 3000 miles later my rotors went south on me. Another thing is the gas mileage is horrible. If youre a lead foot then I hope you have deep pockets. Remember it only takes 93 octanr and at $4.10 a gallon OUCH!

  • A Joyous Ride - 2004 Infiniti G35

Ive had my G35 for exactly a year now. It has been an absolute blast to drive (straight line it might not be the fastest, but cornering and grip with some summer tires on it and its second to none). Unfortunately, Ive put almost 20000 miles on it and the way gas is going that part has not been fun. If Premium ever hits 4.00 in NJ i think ill be forced to trade it in seeing as that Im only getting about 20- 21 MPG lately. But if you want a great ride and to push your car to the limits, this is the car you want

  • Best car Ive owned - 2004 Infiniti G35

This is literally the best car Ive ever owned, for me anyway. And that includes Lincolns, Hondas (incl. S2000), corvette, z car. The styling gets comments every day and its been out for 2 years, the engine is superb, I dont even miss my S2000 except for the cloth top. I dont know what other reviewers are looking for who are rating this low for gas mileage, but I routinely get 18-21 mpg, including a good bit of town driving. OK, Id like them to move the seat switches (and add memory seats, but I understand thats a problem with a 2-door). The trunk holds my golf bag and more, much more with the rear seat folded down.

I have driven this car for 2200 miles and I still have an ear to ear grin on my face. Acceleration is smooth as is the ride. Great exhaust note! Brakes are tremendous, though you have to be smooth on the application as they can be touchy. I should have gotten the 6speed manual trans as I find myself using the manual shift feature all of he time.

  • I love it - 2004 Infiniti G35

I have nothing but good things to say about this car - its wonderful - however gas mileage is probably only 17 mi per gallon - its only fault

  • Its all about power. - 2004 Infiniti G35

If your first priority is power and acceleration and you cant afford a Porsche, this is the car for you. I just love the confidence feeling driving this car next to most cars on the street knowing that you can smoke them in a heart beat. Corners handling is 8-9/10 or may be I just push too much. Not as quite as a Lexus, not as reputable as a BMW and has less horsepower than the new Acura, but sure as hell faster than all of those. The 52-48 distribution is not a myth, I drove this car 2 days in an Ice storm and my main concern was avoiding the disabled front wheel cars on the road. I think Infiniti did a great job, below are some suggestions to improve.

  • The complete 350Z - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

The G35coupe is like the original 300ZX which I used to own. The integrated XM, leather seats, sun roof and flipdown rear seat makes this a complete Z. If you purchase a car alarm system like a Viper you can also have the automatic door locks that the G35 lacks. The memory seats is the only item it lacks and I can live with that.
