  • Quick sedan, excellent value. - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

I bought an 04 G35 sedan after yrs w/ front drive cars (Volvo 850, Honda Acord, Acura Integra) This car has enough low end torque but is not overly quick off the line, but the rear drive is truly a hoot. Paid only $30,100 for the premium sedan, fully loaded except for AWD and Nav. You could do a lot worse than Infiniti, and this is probably their best value. I also owned a 94 G-20 sedan, and thats like comparing a peashooter to a bazooka. Buy one of these cars, you will like it.

  • Nice Design - Lacks Body Integrity - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

G35 Coupe is a fast car, handles well and has excellent brakes. But, the body integrity has alot to be desired. The car has a number of rattles - dealers have been unable to fix the problems even with Japanese technicians. This is unexcusable in this price range. My prior Lexus did not have one rattle after 76K miles.

  • What I miss in a G35X - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

Live in MN and needing a 4wd/AWD sedan, I was limited to only a few choices: BMW, Audi (too pricey in AWD with a larger engine), and too boy- racer-ish Subaru & Mitsubishi. A $500 deposit for my G35x on 3/20 still reqd 3 1/2 mos for delivery. After a week w/ the vehicle I have been impressed with fit, finish & performance. Coming from a Volvo S60 I already miss a few items, and recommend them strongly for later G35x models: 6- spd manual, rear seats that fold (I could not place 2 large suitcase in trunk), more intuitive radio/climate controls, and an in-dash hands free phone. The best color in the G35 brochure, fire engine red, is not offered on the

  • Love the G35, but not its gas mileage - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

Ive owned the G35 a month and still find any little excuse to go for a drive. I love the handling - extremely tight around the corners & very responsive. The stereo is great. The exhaust sound when I turn it on makes me smile every time. All in all, Im an extremely pleased consumer. The one issue I have is gas mileage. Its a sports coupe so I shouldnt be shocked, but the sticker said 18 city/20 highway, and Im getting 13. You may respond its a result of how its driven, but I know better. Will it force me to sell? NO WAY! However, its putting a damper on the whole experience. All in all,FANTASTIC CAR! Just be prepared to spend the money on gas!

  • A Good, Solid Car... - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

I really like this car. It is the perfect blend of fun and comfort for a daily commuter like myself. I like knowing that I can smoke just about anyone off a light or passing them on the highway. That is the highpoint of this car by far. Inside, its very nice but not quite up to a BMW, Audi or even the Acura TL for that matter. I almost bought the TL but at the end of the day, AWD was more important than the better interior for me (I live in Colorado). I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a solid balance of performance and value.

  • Pleasure To Drive, Nightmare to Maintain - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

This was my very first car, and after about half a year of research I bought one used in October of 2010. From everything I read, this car seemed to have the best balance of performance, practicality, reliability, and style. Although this car has many irritating problems such as poor build quality and horrific gas milage (around 15), I still love it and take care of it like a baby.

  • Unintended acceleration Infiniti G35 - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

Toyota isnt the only car that has experienced unintended acceleration problems. I just had the same thing happen in my 2004 Infiniti G35. I was sitting at a dead stop with my foot on the brake when my car suddenly took off full speed ahead. It hit the car sitting several feet in front of me. I hit so hard that the damage to my Infiniti exceeded $7800. Dont know at this point if Infiniti ever did a recall on these models. I would love to know who else has experienced this problem and what repairs need to be done to correct the issue.

  • 6 Month Review - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

Lease dont buy this car as love for this car doesnt grow. Its fun to play with but hard to live with and definitely stinks as a "family" car. You have to drive this car like a testoterone driven 16 y.o. to enjoy it which your passangers may not appreciate.

  • G35 purchased new. 75K mile evaluation. - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

I love this car even though its expensive to keep on the road. This model eats tires and brakes. Ive been through 5 sets of tires and 3 sets of brakes, and one battery. Car has been dependable and trouble free since new. I just solved one of my biggest complaints gas milage. Through performance tweaking I have increased my overall mpg from 19.2 to 21.27. Prior to modifications best highway mpg was 22.3. I recently completed a 2600 mile trip and top mpg was 25.5 and overall average for the trip was 24.31. The side benefit of the modifications has been more responsive acceleration.

  • great car, very bad ergonomics - 2004 Infiniti G35
    By -

This could be a great sport sedan if not for the terrible ergonomics. The cars interior design is just a hack. Radio and climate controls reversed placement is a cheap leftover from the models Japanese version, ridiculous foot parking break calls for somebody from Nissans interior design team to get fired, very odd power seat controls ... Otherwise its an excellent car with very good handling and acceleration.
