Other changes include a standard tire-pressure monitoring system, Low Emissions Vehicle status and a revised front console with an additional cupholder on leather-equipped six-speed coupes. 2004 also sees the addition of an all-wheel-drive sport sedan to the G35 lineup.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

A nice combination of acceleration handling, and just enough room to be practical without boring. Good interior. Beautiful exterior styling. Ride a little harsh with the 18" wheels. Be careful with them...theyre easy to scratch.

I have only owned my G35X for a little over two months. Some 2300 miles later, I can say the G35X was a great buy. Its a kick to drive, I would love it it she had another 20-25 horse, but I love the feel and sound of my infinity. I was told that Infinity dealers dont deal, but I bought mine at 750.00 under invoice. So all in all Im not sure where a guy could find more fun under $30,000? Well legally anyway.

  • Exceptional, needs slight improvements - 2004 Infiniti G35

fun vehicle to drive. very responsive and handles like a dream. the driving experience is awesome. Only 2 main drawbacks: 1. location of the seat controls, it feels like you are sitting on a wallet and can get uncomfortable on longer drives. (when they fix this i will gladly pay to have the seat replaced). 2. gas mileage. Dont expect to get any better than 18 mpg of regular city/highway driving. even a little less if you really push the car. even with these 2 issues the car is nothing short of spectacular. i would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a performance sedan that is reliable and fun to drive.

  • Back Aches from seat - 2004 Infiniti G35

I test drove the car 4 times and from the beginning I was worried about the seat. I thought I would get use to it and find the proper adjustment. My back has been hurting ever since I got the car. I would give it back right now if it wouldnt cost me so much. The 18" wheels with the low profile tire rides very hard and is loud.

  • 2004 G35 Infiniti Coupe - 2004 Infiniti G35

This cars performance is excellent. Three round trips to Florida from MD yielded from a MPG point of view an average of 24 miles per gallon. The ride is firm but expected from a style of this type. If a smoother ride is desired, try the sedan version. The reliability is excellent However the periodic maintenance costs are somewhat more expensive than less expensive coupes. Overall, I rate this vehicle as one of the best rides Ive ever had.

Just sold my coupe...had it for over 2 years and put 21K miles on it. Gorgeous...quick...fun to drive...but the coupe with the 6 speed is designed for people that are into the car. It does carry a relatively low sales price, but the maintenance required on this automobile is similar to a 60K Mercedes. Brembo brakes...they work great..but they are expensive and wear out at around 20K miles...tires (18" rims)...expensive...and get very loud as they wear out...will last you about 15-20K miles depending on how you drive, tire pressure, etc. I always had people tell me how beautiful my car was....which made me feel good about the expenditures. Great styling....Cant wait for the 07 model
