This is a great fun to drive car.

  • Quite pleased - 2004 Infiniti G35

It came down to the Infiniti G35, Nissan Maxima/Altima, Subaru Legacy GT, Pontiac Grand prix GTP, or Mazda RX8. I had to have an automatic with 4 doors due to business and marriage. I test drove the RX8, maxima, altima, and G35. The RX8 was fun but the engine just didnt do it for me with the auto so I drove the max and altima. I enjoyed both cars. The Altima(3.5l) pulled hard but the interior was sub par. The max was a luxurious vehicle but the torque steer was too much. The G35 ran hard and firm. The trick is to get all of your research done before hand and bring it with you. I was able to get the 04 G35 with prem/sport/aero/trk mats/spl grds for 31500

  • Tremendously fun, rediculously thirsty - 2004 Infiniti G35

Funnest and sexiest car Ive ever driven. However, the price you pay is 13-15 MPG, and I dont drive heavy- footed at all. My drive to work is 2/3 highway and 1/3 surface roads, and I can barely squeeze 220 miles out of a 15 gallon tank of premium unleaded. I wonder if anyone else gets similar gas mileage... way below the vehicles rating of 17 city/27 hwy MPG.

Test drove the BMW 325, Mercedes 230K, VW Passat, and an Acura TSX. All were too small for a person 6 feet tall who occassionally carry other passengers. The VWs performance was not on par with the other tested cars. Overall performance was above the others. Handling is "right now" with very accurate steering response, directional control and acceleration. The rearview mirror tends to block my center visions somewhat, but other than that this is a well balanced car. The dynamics of the vehicle impart the feeling of you being a better driver, able to respond and avoid obstacles dropped by careless movers--sofas, mattresses, etc.

  • Getting ready to trade... - 2004 Infiniti G35

Great Owner Group drives Nissan hard on warranty issues: A/C Compressor Brake pads AND Rotors Bose Vibrations/rattles Only got 30k miles on OEM tires and car is REALLY squirrley in small amounts of ice/snow. Transmission is a little clunky and gets to 5th gear way too soon. Probably why gas mileage is on the low side. Drives great on trips and optimal road conditions. Bottom line, really makes the Maxima look attractive for a lot of reasons.

  • Awesome Performance Coupe/Cheap Interior - 2004 Infiniti G35

This is the best high performance coupe on the market today. Overall performance is excellent. The 280 HP engine is superb. Car hugs the road in curves and is very fast off the line. Overall driving experience cant be beat. Manual shifting with the automatic is a real thrill. Exterior styling turns heads everywhere I go. Many many compliments. Neighbors are envious!!!! Desert Platinum color is gorgeous. Have a problem when arriving home as I dont want to get out of the car!

  • 2004 G35 Sedan - A Two Year Perspective...It is what it is. - 2004 Infiniti G35

I have had my 2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan for almost a year and have not had any problems yet. The car is fun to drive and performs extremely well. I wish they did a better job with the interior though. The instrumentation is decent but the faux titanium and less than stellar plastic is very inferior to the Audi A6 I gave to my wife. I expect more from Infiniti. Good thing I spend most of my time looking at the road instead of the cockpit. That said, I think the interior is acceptable, the car itself is very comfortable given the emphasis on performance, and given the price, it is a great value if you value performance more than looks.

I bought my G-35 on looks alone, but this car is all that and much more........

  • The G35 Experience - 2004 Infiniti G35

After 7 yrs of being a loyal BMW owner, I love this car! Brings a grin to my face everytime I drive this car - and I have over 15,000 miles logged! A real head-turner - still get comments a year later. A real GT car - tested both 350Z and BMW330 - but loved the G35. Winter driving is disasterous without snow tires. After installing steel 17" rims with Blizzak snow tires this handles like an AWD or SUV! Climbs hills in 12" of snow! Not happy with mileage (less than 20 mpg HWY) or cheap plastic interior trim. CD-changer too slow and lousy controls on stereo/climate system. This is truly a drivers car!

  • Not impressed - 2004 Infiniti G35

For the money, its an o.k. car but I suggest looking at other options(3 series BMW, Audi A4, Acura TL) before purchasing. My previous car was a 3 series and the fit, finish and overall quality of the 3 exceeds the Infiniti. I dont dislike the car, but I dont love it either - its just average.
