Transmission Issues - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By aaronpc - May 12 - 7:13 pmSince I bought my XG300 I experienced a slight shutter when going from 3rd to 4th gear. The dealership said this was common in the 01 XG300. I now have 87K on the car and my warranty is not valid since I am the 2nd owner (non- transferrable 100K drive-train warranty!), and the extended warranty I bought at the dealership is null-and-void since firm went bankrupt. Im stuck with paying for a brand new transmission on a 3.5 year old car! I called Hyundai direct and they said not their problem.

I love it! - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By Ashish Arya - April 12 - 10:16 amI bought this car used from a Hyundai dealer 5 months ago and have been in love with it since then. It looks like a big sedan on the outside...and with so few of it on the road, people do wonder "Looks like a nice car...what model is it" People who sit into the car are really impressed by it generous interiors. The only problem has been that the CD player did not work since day 1. It accepts a double din system which are expensive and I have been lazy to get it replaced.

Koreas Revenge - Watch your back, Japan - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By mmw56 - February 18 - 2:00 amThis is the inital model year for this car, yet it suffers from few "first year-itis" problems. A few features that were on my "wish list" were added for 2002.

Purchased Program Car - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By StephenB - January 29 - 2:00 amI recently purchased a 2001 XG300 program car from a Hyundai dealer and couldnt be happier with the overall value this car offers. Fit and finish are flawless, the engine is smooth and powerful, and the ride offers a perfect balance between soft/supple and firm. This is not an ideal car for inner-city driving, but is perfect for highyway and suburban jaunts. Consumer Reports claims the car is "floaty" on the highway; however, I have not found that to be the case during my 40 mile commute to and from work. In fact, this car is highly responsive and comfortable at both low and high speeds and the acceleration is exceptional.

best car i have ever had - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By laputa - January 24 - 10:00 amexcellent, superb, super value...i have owned numerious brand...but nothing compares to the value & luxury ive gotten with this car. so far ive had no problems aside from tire balance defect which made the hanle shake at high speeds.it has just about all the features u can dream of for a price of a base camery v6. materials & workmanship is on par with lexus & even better than infinity. quiet, rattle free & solid feel. once u test drive one u will fall in love. i plan to keep the car for the entire 10 yr period. its a head turner & im loving it more & more as the days go by. so far i have influenced 3 other ppl to buy the xg350.

Awesome Vehicle - at any price! - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By myparker - September 18 - 10:00 amWe went looking for a GM vehicle during the "Keep America Rolling" event last year, but couldnt find any car we liked under $30,000. By mere accident, I went and test drove the XG 300. Immediately, I called my wife and told her I had found THE CAR. At first we werent sure about buying a Hyundai, but we have not regretted it in the least. This car turns heads, is fun to drive, and I believe is the best kept secret around. I get to drive around in a car that rivals a Lexus ES 300 or an Acura TL, but without the huge monthly payment. Do yourself a favor - bypass all the Camrys, Accords, and Altimas, and get into something BETTER, an XG.

Dependable Car - 2001 Hyundai XG300
By Marie - May 13 - 11:50 amBought this car new in 01. 6 years later and it still is great. No problems or issues, just change the oil and go. Currently have 70,000 miles on it. Jsut replaced the brakes and timing belt. Changed the tires once. Thats it. Very dependable car and love the way it drives. The car is filled with luxury features and I am still loving it after 5 years.
