Overview & Reviews
A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.
Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

Best Small SUV of 2005 - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By EDSI - May 21 - 11:36 pmAfter exploring other SUVÂ’s and test- driving the Honda Element and Ford Escape, the Tucson GLS (4X4) ended up coming home with me. I was almost sold immediately with all the standard options the Tucson comes with. The Interior is very ergonomically self- explanatory. The Audio System is capable of playing Regular CDÂ’s and CD/MP3 disks and comes with a cassette deck. Though cassette tapes are hardly used anymore, it comes in handy for connecting my iPod with a cassette adaptor. The exterior is very stylish and sporty. Though the Tucson wonÂ’t win any drag races, itÂ’s traction and stability was very good on the first 4X4 test to upstate snowy New York.

Nightmare - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
By Ms Piggy - May 21 - 1:06 pmI have brought four different made of Hyundai vehicles since 2000. The last one is a Tucson which gives me the most headache. After it has been used for 16 months, the battery suddenly drained out and couldnt recharge after stayed in garage for 5 days. No interior nor exterior light were turned on. It happened in Jan, May and Sept 2009. I informed Hyundai USA customer service in May and they promised to "do something" if it happened again. Then, when the issue resurfaced in Sept, I called them. They either gave me the run around or simply not return my calls even I have case number. I wrote them email and no reply. What a service! It will be my last Hyundai vehicle(period).

A nice SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By JM - May 9 - 3:03 amIts Big on cargo area (bigger than the Santa Fe). Ive driven this Tucson to Scottsdale, Az., Las Vegas, Nv. (twice), Big Bear, Ca., and had no problems at all! Its a wonderful vehicle for the two of us but it can haul kids too! Ive done routine maintenance like changed the oil and had my auto mechanic check it out... there are no problems with it. Were pushing 12,000 miles already and bought it in May 2005. There are only two things I would change or make better... #1: Make the Hood a little more aggressive looking and ... #2: put in an extra gear when it is downshifting from overdrive. The next gear down is too low and makes the engine rev too high.

Hyundai Tuscon - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
By Karmen Holmes - May 4 - 7:06 pmI have had nothing but fun driving my car. It has gone from Alabama to Texas and back. And has also gone to South Carolina and back. It gave me no trouble. The only adjustment Ive had to make is gas. I went from a 10 gallon tank to a 17 gallon. I want to drive it all the time. Even when someone says theyll pick me up, I tell them that Ill meet them there. Thanks

Nice vehicle, but shifts like an earthquake - 2017 Hyundai TUCSON
By John - May 2 - 8:11 pmTook it for a test drive along with its sister the Kia Sportage. I think Hyundai screwed it up when they went to the 7 speed tranny. Hopefully Kia wont do it to its next year model

Great Deal - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By RAN - April 30 - 5:36 pmI love to drive, so I was picky about the pick up power and handling. I love the shiftronic transmission. I like the looks. Plenty of room for family or friends, and all your stuff. But why I decided on this over others in its class was the fact that the Tucson had all the amenities of the other vehicles, at a better price, with a better warranty. What more could I ask for?

Nice little truck! - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON
By New Port Richey, FL - April 25 - 9:03 amIve had my 2007 Tucson for 18 months. It continues to perform pretty much in the way I would expect. The back is quite roomy and will hold luggage for 4 easily. Mostly, I use the back to transport my dog. Its perfect for that, especially with the addition of the cargo tray. I drive 80 miles daily (round trip) to work. I have no complaints about the performance and handling of this vehicle on country roads, expressways and city streets. Its small enough to maneuver in city traffic, but peppy enough to keep up with the demands of highway driving. If you want a small (SUV) truck, this is a great vehicle!

AWSOME CAR - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
By DRIVER - April 18 - 3:40 pmI traded in an 06 Honda crv. The 2010 Hyundai Tuscon is an awesome car. This vehicle has it all... Power... Looks... Style, and is fun to drive. I travel 35 miles one way to work, all highway driving. This vehicle makes the ride very pleasant, on the high way the ride is smooth, and stable and quiet. When you have to pass another car it gets up and moves. I loved my Honda but Hyundai has made a believer out of me. I love this vehicle. If your in the market for one take a test drive and you will be hooked. The interior is well done and driver frendly, not to mention it looks awesome, especially at night. Great job Hyundai
