Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

  • Driver Comfort - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I looked at the entire SUV market with the main goal being driver comfort. I suffer from low back pain daily and the Tucson seat was perfect. The added ease of controls complimented the seat. The vehicle handles great, is easy and fun to drive. The warranty cannot be ignored, and the dealership was very helpful. This has been my best purchase of a vehicle in 20 yrs.

  • Horrible road noise - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I live in P.R. I purchased Tucson 2010, first of all the cars in pr are more costly than the rest of USA, the dealers bought the BASIC models and put some alloy wheels then charged like the premium model but with out the bells and whistles like bluetooth or steering wheel audio control. In pr the BASIC model Tucson cost 23,195 just automatic transmission and 17" alloy wheels just that. However I bought the car for the fuel economy and space, but the car has the worst road noise I ever heard in a car. The test drive the noise didnt show up. I never in my life will buy a Hyundai car. Period.

The best feature about this vehicle is the air conditioning system. It has hands down the coldest system I ever had in a car. Temperatures several degrees over 100 outside and the cabin is easily between 70 and 75. The worst feature - relative poor gas mileage (2.7L) for a small SUV. real fuel mileage in the city about 20 MPG, highway about 23 MPG.

This is one of the nicest suvs I have had to date. I has everthing you really need on it, the ride is smooth and quiet, with plenty of power. The Gas mileage was not real good at first, but changed it to amsoil 0w-20 and changed the transmission fluid over to amsoil ATF and the gas mileage went up. I was getting 18 and 22, now get 21 city and 28 Hwy. Which made a big difference.

  • This is the best car ever. - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I got to tell you three episodes. First, there was snow storm in New York 2005 Winter. This car was the only one which could go up in the corner of long island expressway. I was so impressed. Second, I had car accident in which the other car hit my car as right angle. Of course, a lot damage, however, I drove the car to the auto shop and it came back without any problem. Third, I moved to VA by myself with this car. I rent trailer twice and I moved small stuffs with this one. I was so amazed with the capacity.

Terrific SUV! Great handling, very comfortable to drive, and looks good to boot. Gas mileage is good. I took it on a vacation and was very comfortable in it as was my 7 year old son.

  • Amazing Space - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

On our first test drive I knew I liked this car a lot. The inside roominess was amazing. It felt l was in our Toyota Highlander. You just cant beat the value of this vehicle. Its truly fun to drive & has a lot more storage than meets the eye upon first inspection. The only thing missing is power adjustable seats. Otherwise its a great buy. I would highly recommend this SUV for anyone wanting a small to mid-size SUV without paying the mid-size price. I cant wait to take it on our first road trip!

We just bought the Tuscon and so far we love it. Smooth ride and the AC cools the car off in about a minute even in 100 degree weather. Fun to drive.
