I love driving my vehicle, it offers a very smooth ride and feels very safe and strong. It is quiet, and operates very efficiently.

We traded in our 4 year old Jeep Liberty Sport for this Hyundai Tucson to save on gas and get into a newer vehicle. Hyundai makes great, sporty cars and SUVs. If we have one complaint, it would be that they use TAPE, yes thats right, TAPE on their window trims. So, dont park near anyone or a simple scuff from the door of another vehicle can start the tape coming off and leave a very unsightly window trim for you to have to fix (since they dont cover it under warrantee. The good news is that it will only cost you $100 each time you need to get the TAPE fixed because they need to redo the entire tape around the window trim each time!

  • False Mileage Estimates - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

This is a fun, fun car to drive, but no matter how conservative I am, if I am driving on the highway at or just below the speed limit, this vehicle has not averaged more than 20.8 mpg. This is extremely disapointing. It was one of the reasons I went with this model. The Tucson was rated at 20 city and 26 hwy - I really thought I could average at least 22 mpg - it makes me wonder what else was misrepresented...

  • Great car for a great price! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Watch out Toyota and Honda! Hyundai makes a quality vehicle for an unbeatable price. I got ALL the options on the Tuscon -- leather, sunroof, etc. -- for thousands less than a similarly equipped Rav4 or CRV. Plus, the sporty design of the car makes it look more like a luxury SUV than the typical clunky and square SUVs. I have gotten numerous compliments on this great car. You cant beat the price, warranty and quality of a Hyundai!

  • Never again!! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I am now going on my 4th fuel pump. The 1st one left me stranded at only 2 weeks old. The last one is only 5 months old and under warranty but now they are telling me its my fault that the fuel pump went out because I got bad gas. so now they want to fix it for 800.00 and no warranty. I will never buy another vehicle from these rude people and they dont stand behind any warranty they give you not to mention I had to replace my tires at 25000 miles, and my arm rest broke. I will tell anyone who listens not to buy a Hynundi its a piece of JUNK!!

  • Great Little Rig, but Thirsty! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I have to admit, the Tuscon was my 2nd choice. I wanted a Rav4 Limited, but the Toyota dealer lost the sale. The Tuscon has actually turned out to be better in all aspects, except fuel efficiency. Its comfortable, sure-footed in all terrain/weather, and a pleasure to drive. The only things I could wish were better are the gas mileage - Im averaging 17.5 in town and about 21 on highway trips - and the durability of the plastic interior surfaces. I traded a 10 year old Mazda 626 for this and even after all that time, you really couldnt see a lot of surface mars on the interior/trunk plastics. It seems the Tuscons scratch easily. That said, I really do like my little black beauty!

  • Awesome small SUV - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I really love this vehicle. I have owned most different types of cars by many different manufacturers and I also had a small Hyundai when they first came out. This is by far the best one yet. I stay in the $20,000 and less category so this vehicle is compared to others in that group. I didnt realize how much I would brag about my car. I even test drove the larger Santa Fe, prior to committing to the Tucson. It had more cargo room, but less driver/passenger space. I am impressed with the styling and performance. I honestly can not say enough great things about this vehicle! The price is great, the performance is very good and you will love the safety rating!

  • My Thoughts - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Actually I really like this SUV, I wanted a manual and something that was not going to kill my budget. So far I am getting about 23-27 MPG and I can not complaine about much on it. I did replace the factory stero so I could plug in my IPod. But it handles well and it rides nice w/ cruse on the highway, even over the big hills. The front seat is not the beast fit for me, I am 63 and over 300lbs, but I mostly notice it on long trips.

  • Spunky and easy-handling, economical SUV! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

That front seats are stiff, not for large people. That while spunky, it is not a race car. My mileage has always been great when I do not go by car door inflation, but rather by the tires. I get 24 in city average, and 30 on highway. KOREAN tires wore fast, I replaced with Michelin Harmony and now General Altimax........wonderful ride. Does have some road noise but I always play radio. Great handling in all weather. No major repairs of late, just replaced radiator hose and had to use double clamp to hold as hose is thicker than original. Maintain oil and filter and transmission as dictated for city. Takes semi synthetic oil. I replace all filters myself, further savings. Dealer replaced engine bushings, worn, which he noticed, and was under warranty. Has never let me down, runs smoothly still in 2016. Bought new with 8 miles on it. Cargo hold is excellent, seats down, holds garden and groceries and building materials well. My back has not hurt at all since buying this, as you sit higher than in a car and at better angle. Recommend it highly.

  • Very Pleased - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I have been nothing but satisfied with my purchase. I bought the car a week ago and it has been great. I expected the weak fuel economy, but it offers a roomy interior with great lines, and awesome styling on the exterior. I bought the Limited model and it comes with more bells and whistles then my parents Lexus Rx300, which cost almost 10,000 dollars more USED. This car will be with me well into the future, if you just bought one, hope you enjoy it as much as myself.
