Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

Im 75 years old and this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. This is the first time in 50 years that I have not owned a Ford Product. I have a scooter lift attached and it makes a perfect combination. Good suspension and a reasonable size. Very easy for me to access this vehicle. Color me HAPPY!!

I love my Tucson. It is roomy, easy to drive and comfortable. I had actually thought about buying the Jeep Liberty but after test driving it I decided the Tucson was a much better vehicle.

Comfortable ride. Good height but doesnt feel like it will tip over on hard turns. Good acceleration and braking ability. ESC works very well in mud and snow. Standard package is very well equiped. Power windows, locks, keyless entry,CD Player, Very good 6 speaker sound system, rear doors and back glass dark tinted from factory. Plenty of room for large beverages, one in each door and two in the console. Extra large console under the console tray and the lid is adjustable for tall people to use as an armrest.

I recently purchased an 08 Tucson SE. I had been looking for a compact suv. I needed something awd or 4wd, with enough room to haul golf clubs, get me where I need to go in style, and not cost an arm and a leg. The looks of the vehicle are great, its fun to drive, I feel safe safe in it, I get tons of compliments and no one can believe that I spent so little on it.

  • A compact SUV just as I wanted - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought my car four months ago. It is a car exactly I wanted, a mainly city SUV that can be also be used to carry my ski equipment in snowy Canadian winter and camping bags in muddy summer. My Tucson is a quiet, responsive, reliable, spacious, and comfortable car that has almost all I need. It comes with 4WD, V6, stability control, shiftronic, front/side/roof air bags, leather seats, moon roof, mp3 player, roof racks, fog lights, alloy wheels, and much more. For a compact SUV, you cannot expect more. It does not just have COMPARABLE quality. Its build quality can beat many other cars carrying more recognized bands. I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Ive had the Tuscon for about two weeks now, and I absolutely love driving it. It handles quite well in the snow. The body style is different than other SUVs out there. I love the two tone it sets it apart. I love all the safety features. This is truly one of the best deals out there.

  • Should have had me at hello. - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

The looks are what get you to the dealership right? In its market space, the redesigned Tucson is sleeker than everything else. The exterior looks futuristic without being over the top. The interior is wonderfully laid out and minus being unable to get my seat JUST right (the headrests are simply odd) and maybe a few too many blind spots, it is knockdown awesome. But then you drive it. During the test drive you can feel a bit of sluggishness coming off the line, and you are reminded by the salesperson that this car comes with a fancy "dual clutch transmission". So you think, "well, brand new car, probably something I can get used to". But you cant get used to it. You cant get used to driving a stick without it being a stick. You cannot get used to the rules having a dual clutch transmission comes with ("dont creep up on the car in front of you in traffic, wait until there is some space and then pull forward". Seriously?). But you bought it and you just think that over time everything will be ok. And then comes the gear stalls. When you are in first gear and the DCT doesnt engage second gear, but the computer thinks it did so now your in some odd wonderland between first and second, sort of gliding (or stalling is more like it). And if you stomp on the accelerator, nothing happens....youve got to "tap, tap tap" the gas pedal and get third gear to engaged. And after you shut the car off for a bit and come back, its like nothing ever happened and the dealership just claims ignorance. Its really unfortunate to lose as much money as I will when I offload this and go to something else, but I feel less and less safe every time I drive it.

We had waited for the Tuscon to come out for a year. Just wanted to see what it looked like and how it drove. After seeing a commercial at our local theater a couple of months ago, (I was hooked). I tend to hold on to a vehicle for many years reluctant to trade but after seeing and test driving the Tuscon I had to have it. I reluctantly gave up my Elantra of five years, but I am very happy with the change. The Tuscon is very easy to drive and everything is very easy to operate. My first tank of gas showed the vehicles performance at 22 miles to the gallon. I expect it will get better after engine break-in. Thank you Hyundai for coming through with another great vehicle.

  • Fun to drive - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

The outward appearance of the 2016 Tucson caught my eye first. I then found the interior equally appealing. The warranty is definitely one of the best around so took it for a test drive. I instantly noticed how quiet it was~impressive. Nice comfortable quiet ride. A real pleasure to drive. I had never had. Hyundai before, was trading in a crv. I wanted another suv but wanted something different than what I had previously owned yet wanted a reliable efficient and comfortable vehicle. The Tucson beat out all the others I looked at including ones costing much more. I am very happy with my choice and am enjoying being a new Hyundai customer .

I was surprised to read today that Consumer reports determined that this car would have poor reliability. I hope that is not true and would love to know more on what they are basing this.
