Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

Bought the KIA Sportage variant instead. Bigger engine ,a hair better built, same bad gas mileage, much better price. All in all either of them would be great. This new, from the ground up, total rebuild, produces a vehicle with Swisswatch precision quality parts, build, engineering, and great styleing. Its the best out there in either the KIA or Hyundai name plates.

  • What a nice truck - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

We were looking for something that we could "put stuff in" and didnt want to pay $30,000 plus for a Jeep. Looked at Chevy and wouldve paid more for a lot less. More airbags than my Volvo, took it on a trip from Jersey to Florida over the holidays and it was great!!! And I needed the 4WD in North Carolina of all places.

  • Awesome! - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I just purchased my 2010 Tucson and it exceeded my expectations - I love it. Although it was hard to get (GLS with Popular PKG in Bronze) it was worth of the 3 weeks wait. There are only 2 things I would add as standard to this vehicle: 1) Outside Temperature meter 2) Two way console (deep and shallow) right now its only deep. If youre on the market you have to take a look at that car as its probably currently the best buy on the Market

  • Best Vehicle Ive Driven - 2008 Hyundai TUCSON

In driving cars since 1975 the Tucson is the best vehicle Ive owned. Does it have shortcomings, of course. But, I knew that when I bought it. As of 8-16-10 I have 36,000 and not one problem. Tires are still very good, oil is changed every 3,000 to 4,000 and lubed. Preventive maintenance is key. The only thing I dont like it that it is noisy from a tire standpoint. Good mileage up to 27 mpg on the highway and about 22 in local traffic. Its just a nice vehicle.

  • Its a steal! - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought my Hyundai in August of 2007 and havent looked back since. Its reliable, fun and roomy. When comparing to other similar type vehicles (equinox, RAV, etc.,) you simply cant beat the reliability and price.

  • A fun car - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Love this car, and did a lot of research prior. A Lot of bang for the buck with this car, and everything standard, Great visibility, have only had it 2 weeks, and 3 show storms, handles great! MPG are 22 hwy, not bad for new caar and winter! Love the passenger room and that the seats go flat including front passenger, cant say enough good things about it. After 2 american cars, I can finally say again, I love my car!

  • Not as good as Advertised - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

After looking around for an all-around economical vehicle, I settled on the Tuscon. For the most part, its very nice, decent room, rides well, and has a nice base package of interior features. BUT, Im not happy with my gas mileage or some of the design flaws. Ive driven the vehicle for 7000 miles plus (mostly highway), and at best, Ive gotten 24 MPG - more typically Im getting 22-23 MPG. As MPG was one of the key reasons I purchased the vehicle, this is highly disappointing. Two other issues are bothersome. The rear wiper does not have a liquid sprayer. Also, when it rains, and the car is wet, when you open the doors, water pours into the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE.

  • Great buy! - 2008 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought my Hyndai Tucson in late 08 at a decent "end of model year" discount. This is by far the smallest, and only front wheel drive suv I have ever owned but it has proven it self very capable. I have taken it from Washington, to Utah, to Alaska, all the way up to Inuvik,NWT (look it up on a google) and then all the way to New York. It does amazingly well on snow (with some good snow tires)and even handles mud and dirt roads with ease. All around Im sure glad I bought a Tucson!

This car meets all of our requirements. Thats why we bought it. Were a younger couple with a baby on the way and a big dog that goes on all of our road trips with us. Its comfy, attractive, and great for every day adventures. Its easy to operate and I absolutely love it!!!

For my first car I had the accent and i wanted something bigger. So i shopped around and the Tucson was what I was looking for. Good Pricing and a great SUV by far. No one could do better. Im with the rest of you, if milage is all your worried about get a car. The bigger the more mileage.. duh. I really like the Tucson.
