Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

  • I love my Tucson! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I absolutely love this car! It handles great in the snow and has a really smooth ride in all kinds of weather. I love all of the safety features that come standard with this car and it rides better than comparable Hondas. You get a lot for the money. To me it seems like its worth twice what I paid. The only problem Ive had is that a sensor switch went and had to be replaced and I also need to have my radio/cd player replaced. But its under warranty, so thats OK.

LX 2.7L V6 4WD. I have 63K miles on the vehicle as of today. Just replaced the rear brake pads. Change the oil once per year. Vehicle is still running fine with no problems. I still enjoy driving it. This was a good value for the money. During the 10 years, there were only 3 main issues. The trans-axle leaking oil, The battery going dead randomly, and the intermittent door locks is ongoing.

Traded 4 year old Santa Fe in for Tucson. Sales lady was very friendly. I wanted a 4 cylinder, but they were out of stock. I am glad I got 6 cylinder. It has enough power for everyday need. The content level for the price is outstaning, including the warranty.

When you first drive this vehicle you will notice that the cabin is exceptionally quiet, as if there are no other vehicle on the road. All the instrument cluster are placed perfectly and can be used as needed. One of the many feature I like is the panoramic sunroof perfect for any weather and I like it when it is raining :) I drove the dCT aka dual clutch transmission for the first time. It needs a bit getting used to as the other car, which is a Honda, that I have is the traditional A/T transmission. Overall it shifts pretty well and fast and you can feel the turbo kick in as you throttle it. The price point wise I would say it is value for money as the features you get are some of the top of line segment. I would highly recommended this SUV!!

Love the vehicle. Such a smooth ride, takes bumps very smooth. Nice and compact, but roomy. Just what we were looking for. Nothing too big and a decent fuel amount.

  • Disappointed - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON

Overall, the vehicle is decent but weve had issues with water leaking through the seal of the sunroof after a modest rain fall or through a car wash. Also, there is an associated whistling sound from the sunroof at speeds above 60 MPH. Have seen other Tuscon have this same problem by making the dealer apply a garden hose over the sunroof. Hyundai claims this is this designed to happen. I dont believe their claim and I did not spend money on a brand new vehicle that is supposed to leak into the interior. Very disappointed and will take my business elsewhere in the future to more reliable auto manufacturers.

  • Great Value - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I purchased the AWD Tuscon in January 06, just in time for a huge New England blizzard. The Tuscon performed magnificantly, and has continued to be a great vehicle. Its a lot of vehicle for the sticker price, loaded with all the options except leather seats. I love how it looks, it handles like a car and has enough quickness to get out of any situations. Its a solid buy, great value and you cant beat the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty.

  • Best Compact SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Excellent compact SUV. More room than a RAV4. More features than any of the other compact SUVs. Easier to drive on the road than a Jeep Liberty. Off road capabilities? Dont know and dont care since I stick to paved roads. Love it and am still very happy with the purchase four months later.
