Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

I am very impressed with this car. I havent had a new car in 10 years, trading in my 1999 Honda Accord, which was a great car, and I made a great choice. I drive a LOT for work and this is a comfortable and fun car to ride when you have to be in it for long periods of time. Im impressed with the leather, I use the bluetooth ALL the time as I am constantly making work calls - people say they sometimes cant tell I am on a bluetooth. Little unimpressed with the speakers. My first tank avg was 24 mpg, second was 25, third was 28. Just seems to go up! GREAT car! My dad, a picky car mechanic, even loves it!

Bought a loaded limited awd couple of months ago and cant stand it already the ride is horrible around town can feel every bump and imperfection in the road on the highway its not that bad.The tranny isnt very good either the 2nd to 3rd gear upshift jolts the car into gear very rough but only those 2 gears for some reason had it to 2 dealers now and they can feel it but they have driven othrs on the lot that do the same thing and said thats just the way they shift??? Ive been driving for 21 yrs and had many cars and never had 1 shift like that unless the tranny or computer were bad!!! The bluetooth is horrible also the other person cannot here you very well.Going to look elsewhere soon

This is my first Hyandai and I must say I am so pleased. Its more than I expected and a good looker many stop to look at this suv. I get a new car every two or three years and I would imagine that this company will get my attention all the time. I was also impressed with the management of the dealership I purchased my car from.

Make no mistake this car is dangerous and Hyundai is being extremely silent about it my brand new 2016 less than 45 days old has been in the shop more than Ive driven it I am on my third rental car from them and now Hyundais inspectors have come out looked at the car and are holding it hostage as they cant decide what to do with this car please please go read and look at the videos on Hyundai turbo issues the dual-clutch transmission is a nightmare and an accident waiting to happen someone is going to get killed in this car

  • My 4th Hyundai - 2016 Tuscon - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

I traded a 2008 Sante Fe for this vehicle. I wanted one that was just a little smaller and had the safety feature of backup camera and hands free talking. This suv has 3 drive modes: regular, eco and sport. It drives great and the seats are very comfortable. I love the automatic day driving lights and the fact that I can open the trunk without unlocking the whole car.

  • I LOVE IT!!! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

This my first SUV- traded in my 2000 Mustang for more room and practicality. My dogs love it- I fold the back seats flat and they plenty of rooms to roam, and dont have to put their paws on the door handles! Very comfortable drive- I took it on a lengthy road trip, and didnt have an aching back when I got to my destination. Very fun to drive, and handles extremely well. Im extremely happy with my new investment!

  • Would buy another one. - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

This is my second Tucson. I owned a 2006 Tucson for four years and it was one of the most dependable and go-in- the-snow cars I had ever owned. I would still have my first one if Hyundai hadnt changed the body styles. I really love what Hyundai has done for the Tucson style. Hopefully, it will be mechanically as good as its former model.

This vehicle has been with us for 1 month and there is a problem with it surging. The engine has died several times. It has been with the dealership for almost a week now. No one has bothered to diagnose the problem as of yet. The dealership did not want to give up a loaner in the meantime. we had to contact Hyundai to get the dealership to give a loaner while this one is being serviced. The dealership has only 2 techs. So they are backed up on service. All dealerships in the area are backed up and the wait time is always at least 2 weeks. What do you think? 1 month of ownership, 1400 miles, still in shop after 1 week waiting for repair, dealership making a bad situation worse.

  • Sick of visiting the mechanic! - 2013 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought my Tucson in November 2013, a month after I had purchased it my problem started...I had not even reached my first oil change and my check engine light was on! I took it to the dealership I bought it from and they hooked it up to their fancy computer and diagnosed the check engine light had came on due to a cylinder misfire. They told me that they would have to do a computer update and that would fix the problem. Long story short I have been back to the dealership on average once a week for the same check engine light to be turned off. I have had a total of 4 computer updates, they have changed my spark plugs and coils two times and I still have the issue! Its been 9 month now!
