Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

  • Ode To My Tucson - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I purchased my vehicle 2 weeks ago, I love it very much. Its roomy, but not huge. It only takes up one parking space and i can reverse easily and see out all of the windows clearly. The controls are great I feel like i am sitting a BMW truck.

  • Awesome small SUV - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I really love this vehicle. I have owned most different types of cars by many different manufacturers and I also had a small Hyundai when they first came out. This is by far the best one yet. I stay in the $20,000 and less category so this vehicle is compared to others in that group. I didnt realize how much I would brag about my car. I even test drove the larger Santa Fe, prior to committing to the Tucson. It had more cargo room, but less driver/passenger space. I am impressed with the styling and performance. I honestly can not say enough great things about this vehicle! The price is great, the performance is very good and you will love the safety rating!

  • My Thoughts - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Actually I really like this SUV, I wanted a manual and something that was not going to kill my budget. So far I am getting about 23-27 MPG and I can not complaine about much on it. I did replace the factory stero so I could plug in my IPod. But it handles well and it rides nice w/ cruse on the highway, even over the big hills. The front seat is not the beast fit for me, I am 63 and over 300lbs, but I mostly notice it on long trips.

  • Looks good, Drives better - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

My Tucson is well put together and fun to drive. It has more pep than I thought it would have and the AWD is a boon here in Buffalo. The options and quality in the SUV remind me of more expensive models. Dual climate control works well. Car defogs quickly. Radio/Navigation system is impressive. Bluetooth and voice command on steering wheel works well. Car is quiet even with the sunroof open. Interior is nice and roomy and the seat warmers are wonderful. It is a pretty car.

  • Wonderful vehicle - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I have had my 2011 Tuscon Limited for one month. I went for the totally loaded vehicle with 18" wheels. After test driving several other small SUVs, I tried out the Tuscon and fell in love immediately. The leather seats are very comfortable, and I really like the bluetooth and navi. The storage capacity is just right for me. As for the mileage, I am getting around 26-28 mpg combined. I am quite happy about this. It seems with each tank of gas I am getting a little better mpg. If I reset the mpg trip when driving on the highway, it says Im getting 33-35 mpg. If that is true, it would be great. Bottom line is, I love my Tucson more and more each day.

  • I love it - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I have owned many cars during my life and a number of SUVS and I am happiest with this one. I have had a few Toyota RAV 4s and even an RX300 Lexus and this is the best of the bunch and equal to the Lexus for a lot less money. This vehicle rides and handles great and I think Hyundai really thought this one out before releasing it. This is my first Hyundai but I assure you it will not be my last.

  • A good choice - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

After going through the nightmare of a Jeep wrangler 2008 unlimited, I came back to Hyundai with the only expectation of a good vehicle. Was I for a big surprise. This little brute is amazingly fast, frugal on fuel and quite fun to drive. It brings attention and I get asked "what car is that. A Lexus, m3 or what. Quality is everywhere, the price and features. Unbeatable. I really dont know what kept me away from Hyundai after my wonderful, never forgotten 2004 Santa Fe

  • Great all round SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I like the Tucson. Have 33K on it and have not had a single mechanical problem. Stock tires gave out at 25K. Excellent in wet weather and snow- better than my GMC Yukon. Great for my wife since the 4x4 just kicks in when needed. Average 22mpg, best I ever got was 25mpg on a trip. Comfortable for short trips and long ones also. Took on a 1500 mile trip to Canada- did great. Would recommend.

  • Makeup in the dark? - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

What I really miss is lighted vanity mirrors. Also, I was told that my vehicle had a better cabin filtration system than my 2002 Honda Accord (which had a Hepa filter). When I started sneezing and detecting a strage smell, inside my Tucson, I had my husband check the filter.....SURPRISE...The slot was there, behind the glovebox, but there was no filter! The dealer ordered one for me and then tried to charge me $90.00 to install it. The gas milage is also not good. This baby is cute but rather expensive to maintain.
