Overview & Reviews
A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.
Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

New 2010 Limited Tucson - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
By Jcdlg76 - August 16 - 8:40 amWe just bought our 2nd Hyundai in the last 3 months. After buying a limited 2011 Sonata my wife started to look at Hyundai in a whole different way. After looking at chevy and gmc, vw. Hyundai was the Big winner! We only paid $23,900 for the Limited and if we had bought some other one with the same options we would have paid like 30K. And the warranty and the lower interest just made a simple deal. We are sold on Hyundai. Now we open our garage and we have 2 Hyundai looking Nice.

Pretty Great Vehicle - SO FAR! - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON
By Thor - August 15 - 6:56 pmI bought this in February of 07. Had a baby on the way so needed something besides my Mustang to tote a kid. Overall this was a great choice, made after a lot of research. I find the milage to be great, cargo room surprisingly large and driving comfort to be outstanding. I also tested a Santa Fe and even though its the next "bigger" model, I felt it had less headroom than the Tucson. On the downside, it does seem a little underpowered, especially with the air conditioning running. I also dont like that the power supplies (lighter and rear cargo area) dont have power unless the engine is running. That sometimes makes it difficult to charge the cell phone. Overall, I dig it!

2007 Hyundai Tucson - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON
By jaypol - August 9 - 5:13 pmBought this vehicle for my daughter to use at college. Have been very happy so far. Ride is very smooth, handling is agile, and very roomy interior. She fit the entire contents of her dorm room into the Tucson and still had a comfortable ride home.

No more GM cars - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By Patrick - July 27 - 6:53 amAfter owning five new american cars and having nothing but problems, I decided to buy a foreign car. Many months of review and test drives kept bringing me back to Hyundai.I am so glad that the reputation Hyundai has put behind them as a cheap unreliable car.Only owning the Tucson for a short time ,I am sure with the quality and craftsmanship that went onto building it, I will be happy for years to come.Take note, another company to overtake American cars...Hyundai

Disappointed in MPG and temp gauge - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
By Disappointed SDiegan - July 25 - 5:43 pmFor the most part I love the looks of the car inside and out. It is fun to drive but is a little rough and noisy. Wish they would have put 17 inch wheels instead of 18 on the Limited. Im still waiting for the good mileage to kick in. Dealer says wait for 5K then it will, geez, really? The best Ive had is 24 on freeway going flat and straight. In hind sight I would have paid a little more for a Honda CR-V.

Never again... - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By Rich - July 22 - 9:00 pmAt first I enjoyed the vechile, until the interior parts such as the ashtray (broke 2 times) the sunglass holder broke. I have also had ongoing fuel system problems with leaks that the dealer can never seem to fix and keeps giving it back broken. I am not happy with the fit and finish of the vechile I think they could have used better material. But i guess you get what you pay for. But i will have to definatly say never buy a vechile from the Atlantic Automall in West Islip. Terrible Service, terrible sales, they told me they were going to include a better warranty on the vechile. I ended up paying for it without even knowing. Not happy. I guess i bought a lemon

Smoothness while driving Tucson-2010 - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
By JYOTI - July 21 - 11:46 pmI bought this vehicle in Feb 2010. The serious problem with this CUV is its smoothness in accelerator. It would suddenly stiff and may cause smooth running. I am still observing but would like HYUNDAI to please resolve this soonest possible, else, they may have to call back the vehicles. Someday it is smooth with av of around 10 L/100 km some day 12 L/100 km and stiff Accelerator/Sometime it hinders the smooth running the vehicles speed.

Class of Its Own - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By LBOCEAN - July 18 - 5:16 amAfter a year of searching... Needing something larger for my business, switching from a 4dr Corolla to an SUV, my searches for something with equal or better quality for a price that wasnt going to bust my bank account, the Tucson gives me everything the others do, at close to half the price. A Highlander equally equiped had a sticker shock of 34K (not kidding either), was quickly xd off the my list once I got into the Tucson. The interior has that roooomy but cozy feeling. Its solid and drives great. My neighbor is envy.

skeptical customer.. - 2013 Hyundai TUCSON
By ozone88 - July 17 - 4:02 amAs the professional reviews stated, the limited version engine may not be as smooth a ride.. or sound as quiet as its competition. Yet, Im in love with my car. U cant best this price.. and they hold their value.. the look is stunning, the options are fabulous. People tell me it looks like Im driving a Lexus.. and I definitely feel like I am! (minus the road noise, I blame it on the 18 inch tires) I have a 2001 Hyundai sonata with almost 200000 miles, I wanted to try something different and the last brand I looked at was a Hyundai, and look what I ended up with! Almost bought a subaru.. so glad I didnt! I Will update in 3 years!
