Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

We really like our Tuscon. Good styling. Fun to drive. Only thing I would like to see improved is more quality and detail on the interior. There is too much plastic. We like the standard features which are extra on other vehicles.

I love driving my vehicle, it offers a very smooth ride and feels very safe and strong. It is quiet, and operates very efficiently.

  • What a deal! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Not only did I have a no-haggle experience from our dealer, I am more than pleased with the overall performance and handling of our new Tuscon. The insurance on this vehicle was right in line with other comparable vehicles and the

  • Noisy engine - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

Very good design, both outside and inside of the car. Feels a little on the smaller side inside, not too much room in the back but OK. Very good dashboard layout. Visibility is OK but Ive seen better. Ont the downside, the engine is too noisy to my taste. The power is sufficient for this small vehicle but engine noise is intrusive. Im more used to Buick and Lexus-type serenity.

  • 4.5 yrs and still like new! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Still love this car, no problems 4.5 yrs later. Also was the least inexpensive & best bang for the buck when I bought it new vs CR-V, RAV4, X3, Escape and the only one of them that had all elements V6, 4wd, ESP, 6 airbags, Sunroof, Leather Heated Seats, and a 5yr Bumper to Bumper. I was worried at time about investing in a Hyundai but now believe they are a solid value company for cars under $30k. What Nissan and Toyota used to be 20 yrs ago! The 4wd & ease of driving in snow/rain has been fantastic, I will never go back to 2wd. Perfect utility car for daily commuting, running around with the kids to soccer & LL on weekends, and camping. I expect 10 yrs out of this car easy. Fun Ride

  • Watch out for some things you may miss - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

We traded in our 4 year old Jeep Liberty Sport for this Hyundai Tucson to save on gas and get into a newer vehicle. Hyundai makes great, sporty cars and SUVs. If we have one complaint, it would be that they use TAPE, yes thats right, TAPE on their window trims. So, dont park near anyone or a simple scuff from the door of another vehicle can start the tape coming off and leave a very unsightly window trim for you to have to fix (since they dont cover it under warrantee. The good news is that it will only cost you $100 each time you need to get the TAPE fixed because they need to redo the entire tape around the window trim each time!

  • Tucson is a great value - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

This is the third SUV Ive owned after a Ford Explorer and a Nissan Pathfinder. I am extremely pleased with the Tucson. The build quality, fit and finish, and overall quality is the best of all of them. No problems in my first month/1,500 miles with no squeaks, rattles or anything else to have the dealer fix. The safety features are great to have and standard too. An incredible value.

  • The most awesome car Ive ever seen! - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I bought a 2011 Hyundai Tucson, limited. We got such a sale, 18,900, 39,000 miles, for a fully loaded. We went for a Toyota Rav 4, 2011 with 54,000 miles on it, for the same price. Test drove both, and, the Tucsons much smoother ride beat the Rav by miles. I cant drive large vehicles and dont like sedans. This CUV, seems like it was made for me. I love the small turning radius, so much. The seats are very comfortable, even the back seats are as wonderful as the front. I cannot stop talking about this car, I, me, I actually have a Tucson in my driveway, it just blows me away. Driving this CUV, is a very fun experience, cant believe there arent more out there.

The styling is excellent. The body has no rattles and sounds solid closing the doors. It could have a little more power but is acceptable.

  • I like it.... - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I just got my Tucson and i love it! I do agree with everyone about the get up and go on it. It could be better. Other then that it is perfect for me. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee before this and i am happy about my new choice.
