Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

  • Great SUV--Great price - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

A terrific 4x4 in the snow and mountains. Very comfortable coupled with a great 6 disk sound system. The sun roof comes in handy on nice days. The size lets me park very easily anywhere. The service from the dealer has been world class...something one would experience with a vehicle twice the price. The seats fold down easily for hauling oversize items in the back. It is very quiet, smooth to drive, and handles very well in the city and on the highway. The electronic stability control is very important in snow/ice. A winner!

Hyundai continues to surprise. This is fine, reliable SUV. Packed with safety features and excellent build quality. Over 5 thousand miles and no problems. Gas mileage is good too. Between 25 and 30 mpg if you stay within speed limit. If Hyundai addresses road noise, ( loud on course pavement ) this vehicle will move to the top of the class.

I just love this car, so far. I have only driven about 2,000 miles, however, each one of them has been FUN!

I bought this instead of the RAV4 and I am very happy. Cute, comfortable, leather heated seats are great. Seats flip down easily for my xc skis. Plenty of trunk room. Even my mom fell in love and it is a great value!

  • Will never buy Hyundai again - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON

I am a used car dealer. Bought this Tucson for my wife for fuel economy and it was a nice suv. Engine already making ticking noise with 40,000 miles. Went to Hyundai, they refused to fix. Said it was normal wear and tear. A Hyundai tech stated it needed a head job and that it should be covered under warranty. After talking to the service dept director, he refused to service it since it had been in an accident. Even though still a clean title with 40,000 miles, it wasnt covered under warranty. The accident was on the side doors. Nothing to do with engine. Reviews online state a lot of people with the same problem. Going back to Chevy. No more Hyundai. 100,000 miles warranty? NOT!

  • Stiff - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Dont expect to ride cloud 9. My GLS will make running over a mouse feel like a speed bump! Suspension is VERY stiff...and so is the handling...will turn on the blink of an eye. Heating system is so-so. Comfortable for smaller people but as Im a BIG man, the seats are not built for me. AWD helps in the rain and snow here, which is the major reason I purchased the car.

  • A Fine Lil SUV - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Best small SUV value out there (besides the Kia Sportage, but Kias still seem to lag in quality). Great styling, both inside and out, very roomy, standard ESC/ABS/TC, well laid out controls.
