Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

My purchase experience was nice. The dealer gave me a great trade on an 07 SF Limited with 58000 mi. I got $3,500 for it and no money out of my pocket to drive this baby off the lot. My monthly payment decreased $25 per month with $18,800 drive off financed, including t,t & l. Im impressed with the motor pep, interior package quality and ride. I love the bluetooth and I have no complaints with it. My first trip was around 800 mi and I averaged 27.7 with the air on and cruise set at 75 mph.

  • Very Happy With My Tuscon - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I love my new Tuscon. It has great pick up on the highway, the air- conditioning cools the car off fast, it handles well around town, and the styling is great. The only thing I am disappointed with is the gas mileage. It is not getting the advertised gas mileage and I only get about 310 miles to the tank. I wish I would have upgraded to the Limited however because I am not super happy with the leatherette seats. They are comfortable, easy to clean and dont look bad, but I wish I had gotten the leather.

  • Bad Gas Mileage - 2007 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought my 2007 Hyundai Tucson SE 4dr SUV (2.7L 6cyl 4A) at the end of 2007. I thought i had done significant research, but I must have missed the complaints about gas mileage. Although I really like the feel of the car, I expected better than 14mpg city and 18 hyw. I change my oil every 3k and have never missed a scheduled maintenance. The quilaity of paint is also very poor. Scratches very easily.

  • Great value for money - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I have had my Tucson now for 2 months and I LOVE IT! For 2 years I had a Honda CR-V and I have to say the Tucson is a much better value for the money! The Tucson offers much nicer "standard" options and rides like a dream. I love the fact that I have four wheel drive and the warranty is definitely a value! I also love my heated leather seats in the Winter! Even my parents are impressed! Thank you Hyundai!

  • Another Hyundai winner! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

My Tuscon is really great. I have only one beef. Mine is the 4-cyl. / auto model. Highway mileage is SUPER! I have seen it as high as 34 mpg. However, most of my driving is city...and there, the Tuscon disappoints with only 17-18 mpg. (A V-8 can give those kind of numbers.) The Tucson is bigger than one would first notice; but, mileage for a 4-cul. vehicle sould be better. Build quality is outstanding, and hauling space is very generous. Would I buy another? You bet! My family is ALL Hyundai, and we are very satisfied.

  • Everything and More - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I purchased my Tucson at Toms River Hyundai in New Jersey. I got the deal I wanted and would highly recommend the dealership and the Tucson. From the first mile I was impressed. My Tucson fully loaded and it has everything I could ever want. Its a pleasure to drive and the stereo system is awesome! Its a bit girly, which I like, for the average guy but perfect for us gals. It has the curves and listens when I give a voice command (really cool technology I might add). Getting 25 - 26 MPG around town which I feel is very good for a vehicle of its size. I feel safe in it and that means a lot to me. Very reasonable price and value for your dollar. Who could ask for more?

  • fun so far - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

This car has been fun to drive in the short time I have owned it. My only complaint is the rather mediocre gas mileage. A little more oomph on takeoff would also be nice, but it is very comfortable, handles well, looks great, and is priced right.

  • A great buy - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Purchased 11/04. Comes well equipped, handles well, no problems so far. Looked at comparable models before this purchase; you get more for your money with the Tucson without a drop-off in quality. Have taken on several long road trips. Decent mileage, low road noise, comfortable cabin. Factory sound sytem more than adequate.

  • Love the Tucson - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Have had the Tucson 4+ years and still is fun to drive, good in winter and air con works great in summer. Own an Acura MDX as well but end up taking the Tucson everywhere. Could buy a new car but afraid another car wont be as much fun or as reliable...
