Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

  • The Best SUV Ever!!!! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I was surprised with its built quality. Then, its smooth and performing ride convinced me to make the purchase. Its stylish look was a plus. I am very happy about this vehicle.

  • 4th Hyundai - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

This is my 4th Hyundai, 1 Sonata and I just bought my 3rd Tuscon Limited. There is a reason for that. Most people only write reviews when they have something to complain about, not many write when everything is good! When a company sells thousands of vehicles and you get less that 100 complaints, Thats pretty good! Most of the people that complain are chronic complainers. I know first hand. I owned a couple ice cream stores, youd be surprised of the frequency of chronic complainers. Anyways.....Back to the review. With all the Hyundais I have owned. The only things I have had to replace were tires and windshield wipers. Thats it. They have been great and I for one WILL continue to buy them.

Overrall i like the 2006 hyundai. my biggest cry is that the leather seat covering with just normal wear already has noticeable blemishes, the gas mileage remains consistant at aorund 21 miles/gal. i can never seem to reach that estimated 26miles/gal. promised to me,i can feel the slight roll motion navigating a curve under what wolud not normally be an isuue in most suvs. however,i like the comfort level and the relativley smooth ride of the vechicle...but if i had it do do again, i would probably choose something different.

  • LOVIN MY HYUNDAI - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I love driving my hyundai...enjoy the smoothness of acceleration, transmission and turning radius....the color red and the upholstrycoche Premium sound system is not...a great disappointment....Blutooth not so great....I keep my cars for 10 yrs but this baby may see a new owner much sooner due to a crummy air- conditioning system....its slow to start and i dont believe it will cool our summer days--hasnt done well now in the spring...gas mileage at 24 mpg with 10 percent city90 highway long trip did make it to 28mpg

  • Dont Expect too much - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

It is a prettier and cheaper SUV than the main two alternatives we were looking at, the CRV and Rav4). However, after you drive the Tuscon a while, you begin to notice more and more reasons for the lower price tag. It starts out with just cabin noise, then you notice the very poor quality sound system. The slightest touch from another car produces a ding. Sometimes for no reason, I am unable to lock the car doors when exiting. I assume it thinks the key is still in the ignition but that is not the case (electrical?). Now I notice that the picture on the back up camera is blurry but the dealership tells me that it is operating as designed and Hyundai consumer affairs agrees.

  • Great SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Overall I love this vehicle. Have not been able to get the gas mileage promised. I have averaged 21 mph on hwy. (V6 engine) (although I do have a lead foot) But much better than my Durango I traded. I have been very happy with my vehicle so far.

  • Performance and Looks in One Package - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

Completely re-designed for 2016. The Tucson looks great. The 1.6 turbo has terrific performance, especially when accelerating in second and third gears. There is enough to pass in a hurry in Interstate driving. Our gas mileage has greatly exceeded the manufacturers figures. We get 31-34 combined and normally between 34-38 on the highway between 70-75 miles per-hour. We topped 40 on one occasion. The car is quiet, handles well and the seats are extremely comfortable for trips. They are firm and the lumbar support works well. Cargo space is almost as much as was on the 2012 Santa Fe we traded in. This is our fifth Hyundai and we have never had any problems with any of them. We are also very fortunate that our dealer has been fantastic. They treat us like family.

  • Fun transportation - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

Having owned KIA and Hyundai automobiles since 1987 I found the Tuscon to be one of the best built. I expect that the Tucson will match or exceed the quarter of a million miles that I and my family have put on each of our other Hyundais. Well made, great value, as well as great looks.

  • Wheres the great gas mileage? - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

Okay, definitely a sharp looking little SUV- HOWEVER, like many others, I am hugely disappointed in the gas mileage, have seen my city mileage dip into the 16s, and now its hovering in the 17 mpg range (drive in the ECO mode 98% of the time)- not even close to the advertised range. It is a cool looking, fun little car to drive, but would not have bought it if I had known the mileage numbers would be so far off. I traded in a Murano for the Tucson, hoping to get great gas mileage in a stylish smaller car- but the mileage is worse then the Muranos so far. Whats up, Hyundai?
