Model Overview:

A compact crossover SUV, the Hyundai Tucson is aimed at buyers seeking the tall ride height and cargo convenience of a utility vehicle in a small, affordable package. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the Tucson has always offered a generous list of standard equipment and a lengthy warranty.

Although early versions of this Hyundai crossover have a decidedly budget feel, 2010 and later Tucsons have distinctive exterior styling and a slick interior to match. Acceleration and handling are also much better on the newer models, and fuel economy is significantly improved. Recent Tucson models are worth consideration if you're shopping for a used small crossover.

I have found that you feel every bump in the road. I did not realize this when I purchased it. It is a very nice vehicle to own other than that.

  • Love it! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

Traded in my 2002 Accent for it. Very good ride, not too rough, not too soft. Has right amount of "road feel" in steering. Plenty of room for cargo.

  • Ford/GM....watch out!!! - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought a 2005 last month just when the 2006 where arriving on the lot...therefore $21,600 purchase price (+dealer doc & taxes). I priced honda, fords, gm, toyota small suvs..comparing apples to apples nobody could touch the Tuscon without adding another $5,000!!! I was looking for a bang-around car/sedan for the wife and two kids, honda civic =$20K, Accord ex 4 cyl=24K, 6 cyl=$29K..all with only front drive & traction control only (No stability control!) Honda CR-V =$27K - 4cyl. As you can see Tuscon==awesome deal and GO ANYWHERE drive line, cant wait for 3 feet of snow!!

  • Nice SUV, but does have one or 2 things - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought this car August 21, 2010 and already have 400 miles on it. Its a nice car to drive, however it does have its drawbacks. There are times the car likes to brake for you (or at least apply brake pressure) (so you could be going 60 mph, and then all of a sudden going 55 mph. Not fun, but they got that development over the fact that Ford is awful (the roll over issue and tires exploding). That being said, its got a nice ride - and handles well for the most part. Stereo is nice. Although be careful if you use water to wash it. Didnt know it would leave water spots on the car. If thats the way the paint deals with water, I may be giving the car back. Water shouldnt ruin it.

  • CUV sport 1.6 L turbo....very nice - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

This car is based on my latest two purchases...I had a 2013 dodge nitro and and a 2014 mazda cx5...the hyundai tucson sport is the most fun to ride and most fuel efficient combined of the three. Its seems wider and longer than the Mazda cx5....and looks more sporty and feels more rugged yet quiet....its a sexy car. I have no regrets other than pushing more for the ultimate limited package...which I will go for next time.

  • update to my previous review: SamboPA - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON

so my previous review was very positive and I said I would comment once I drove the car more... I still like the car but have found a few small issues with the car: the light in the cargo area is very small weak and totally offset to the left when I am off roads and in the middle of nowhere it is very pitch black back there... I agree the automatic lift gate is pretty slow - so be it.... the wiring for the approach lighting is not even installed on the car, Hyundai assures me they will fix this in good time.... the glove compartment has no lock on it (this is obvious but I overlooked it) Finally I am still not used to the shifting when the car is under 40 MPH it has a hair trigger gas pedal and I feel it shifts too much under 40MPH..... also sensitive breaks - both I think will improve once I drive the car more - my insurance has one of those little computers that records everything to try to give me a discount and I am getting tons of hits for fast acceleration and hard breaking and I am truly doing everything I can to NOT do this but it keeps happening.....doesnt help I am still driving my old car every other day and I have to actually push on the gas or break to get results...also reading the maintenance schedule has me concerned about the 4WD but Hyundai people say no thats only for heavy constant off road use - I hope they are right. I hope wear and tear holds up on this smaller but powerful turbo engine and "dry" dual clutch transmission...the fuel economy seems to be holding true but I have no long highway trips yet....feedback from friends and total strangers is positive they seem mesmerized by the wheels and shape/style asking what is that - obviously it looks more like a Santa fee and I have had some people this it is in Infinity or MazdaCX5 or a few others and they get VERY upset and argue with me when I say it is a Tucson and they say that have "glued" the Tucson emblem on the back of the car......

  • very satisfied - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I have only had this vehicle a little over a month, and after trading in a Subaru WRX, was not sure but what I would find this change less exhilarating. To my surprise the Tucson is a fun SUV to drive and offers all that I was hoping for in comfort, gas mileage, zip and style. After a long history of sports car, I think I will be an enthusiast for Hyundai.

  • Love My Tucson - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

This has to be my favorite vehicle. The only thing has ever been an issue was the noise the ABS system made when doing its self check and that stopped after about 13000 miles. I will definately keep this car for awhile.

  • American Dream in Korea? - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I love this vehicle! It reminds me of the way American made cars were before the 1970s. The body and suspension are solid. Unlike an American made auto, I can lean against my Tucson without fear of denting the side or fender! This is not recycled a recycled coke or beer can vehicle! As for the ride, reminds me of a 1963 Caddy. Quick wheel response, comfortable seats, smooth ride. For the money the Hyundai Tucson is an exceptional value. And the standard safety features beats anything produced in America! The down side is that if Hyundai continues producing this quality vehicle they will no doubt sell less with each passing year. I look forward to driving my Tucson for many years to come.

  • FRONT SEAT SO UNCOMFORTABLE..WONT DO A THING! - 2016 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

For such a new 2016 car the front seat is so uncomfortable and went to the dealer 3xs and they wouldnt do a thing except tell me to buy a cushion...That would get in the way of the heated and A/C seat that I paid for? And Hundai themselves only noted this and so far wont do a thing??? So I am to drive for years and be uncomfortable after paying so much?? That is not a good company if you ask me!
