  • Great Little SUV - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

This is a great budget line SUV that is well designed and tastefully appointed. My other car is a BMW and while this is not an X3 it is a really nice vehicle for the price. Traction control, side impact and head curtain airbags, tiptronic transmission, seats that fold flat, great towing capacity.... The list goes on and on. I only wish the gas mileage were better. I consistently average 21mpg in a 70/30 mix of highway / city driving, and I avoid rapid accelleration.

  • Strong, reliable and durable - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Bought it at the end of the 06 model year and loved it from day one. Its now the end of 10 and it hasnt hiccuped once. Still performs like the first day. Very powerful and quick V-6. The mileage reflects the extra horses, but the performance is stellar. The only issue with the 06 is the ESC computer and braking when its in the manual shift position. It will go into ABS mode even when panic braking on perfectly dry ground and will scare the carp out of you. In standard drive mode it works perfect. All in all its great, though and my next one will be another Hyundai.

  • Great Car, Great Deal, Great Dearship! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I drive over 70 miles a day to and from work. This car is great on gas milage, confort and performance. I bought it in October of 2005 and have put about 11000 miles on it already. It runs real quite too. I have enjoyed owning this car a lot!

  • Great, Dependable, plan to keep it. - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought this car new in 2006. I am retired so the vehicle only has 26,000 on it. I change the oil and required maintenance done twice a year due to the low mileage driven. The car has been very dependable and the only major costs I have had was replacing the battery in the past year and now was told it was time to replace the tires (26,000). The V-6 is no barn burner but gets the job done. I would recommend this car to anyone but would explain that I have only driven it 26,000 in ten years. Gas mileage is and never has been great. I would say 16-17 in town and maybe 25-27 on highway. It has never seen 20 and 30 as advertised or rated.

  • Best value for the money - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I had previous cars and this one beats them all. I mainly purchased this vehicle for safety reasons (air bags) and the warranty coverage. To top it off Hyundai recalls are almost nil and none for Tucsons. I used to believe in American cars but my last one had five recalls in two years and they were all safety related (Ford)! And one prior also had multiple recalls (Pontiac). I just got tired of going back to the dealer and waste my time on things that were supposed to be done right the first time. Japanese recalls are on the rise. Hyundai quality has really improved and since money is tight these days, I cant afford to spend it frivilously. It is the best bang for the buck.

  • Love it, love it, love it! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Ive only had this SUV a few months but I find that it is the perfect fit for me. I wanted something with more cargo room than my previous car but didnt want to be driving a ship. The Tucson fits the bill. It has a ton of cargo room when needed as all of the seats except for the drivers fold completely flat. This is done easily, too. It handles well and has a very tight turning radius. The sound system is excellent and the back seat is comfortable.

I havent had the vehicle very long However I am very impressed with the quality and performance. Hyundai quality is now one of the best in there market.

  • Very Disappointing! Does not accelerate - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

The 2006 Tucson is a very nice looking vehicle, however, there is little power. This vehicle does not accelerate. My wifes Toyota Rav 4 has much more get-up-an go then the Tucson, and is much more quiet. The motor of the Tucson is very loud. If I had a chance to do it again, I wouldnt buy a Tucson.

  • Nice Ride, Poor Mileage - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I love the Tuscon. Its versatile, it fits all of my needs for around town and trips. Plenty of room to add on: roof rack, trailer hitch, etc. My only complaint is that not once have we gotten the advertised mileage. We mostly use it in the city, but our mileage hasnt been above 15 mpg, far enough below the advertised 19mpg that we were promised. All in all, not a bad car for your buck. Far more features for less than the competetors price.

My Tucson has certainly pleased me. Good quality automobile, fun to drive, live in the Tahoe area and handles snow storms like a champ.
