  • Excellent for small family - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought this as my parents had a Hyundai Santa Fe. It seemed more economical and sporty and it was my 1st SUV. Reliability has been great and very few services (non-standard) necessary. The car is only 2 years old and the armrest has broken due to the cold. Unfortunately the cost is over $300 to replace it. The horn definitely needed to be upgraded. And finally, who still listens to cassettes anymore?

  • Bought it for the Kids! It pays off! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I was weary about leaving the Honda family (5 cars bought) and trading in my Firebird, but now that Im a daddy twice over (not at once that God!), its time to think kids. I bought the Tucson (a 4-cylinder, FWD) thinking how can this compare to Hondas reputation...Well, with all the little great things about the interior for me and the kids, the gas mileage and air bags (one big interior balloon!), it was a no-brainer. The CRV is nice, but boxey and over- priced. Toyota, never liked. Anything American-made, lousy junk (sorry USA). Granted its not my Firebird, but the features, warranty, price, build, and SAFETY for my kids is worth every penny. It also looks nicer than the Sante Fe!

  • Love My 06 GL!! - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Okay, I know its not the top of the line model with the bells & whistles - but this SUV is wonderful! Its interior is roomy, ride smooth, noise is minimum, the safety features are unmatched. My insurance even went down!! IMO you get a lotta car for a lost less than Honda and Toyota - who, by the way - tried to rip me off time & time again. Hyundai cares about their customers & its shown from the 100K mile warranty to all of the additional perks we received after purchase. Ive been warned about buying a Hyundai - have heard all of the jokes about how unreliable it is. Well, with the warranty, Lemon Law protection & perks - you can laugh away...but my husband a came out the winners!!

  • Great value and performance - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

This vehicle feels big inside but is not much bigger than the Elantra, and parks anywhere. Tons of nice features and safety packages (ABS, 6 airbags, TCS, ESC). Innovative fold-down hard back seats for cargo carrying. Interior looks better than expected for the money. No problems with acceleration or braking. Handling better than lots of non-SUVs I have owned. Warranty cant be beat.

  • Probably not - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Bought the GLS 6 cyl new from dealer. Very reliable for the first three years I owned it. Good drivers visibility. Not exciting to drive, and not very fuel efficient (for 3500 lbs). Puny V6 engine. Useless rear trunk cover. Tire pressure light too sensitive. Ride was a little smoother carrying a full load vs. traveling light.

Throughly satisfied with this car. Handling, braking, ride, comfort, power, 4WD, stability control, quiet ride, warranty service -- all as good or better than any other car I have owned. So-called "estimated mileage" (26-34 mpg highway) and actual mileage (16-22 mpg highway) are as bad as any using the outmoded EPA ratings.

  • First SUV and Lovin it - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I have only had this little thing for a few weeks now but so far I love it. It handles very well on the road and the look is just what I have been looking for, its the right size for me. Only two complaints about it....not enough leg room for the driver and upfront passengers and the gas mileage. Was really hoping for a good MPG but I guess we cant have everything in life to go our way. It is used and I suspect that I will have some small issues coming around but all in all so far im very very happy.

  • MY SUV - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

I love my Tucson. It is roomy, easy to drive and comfortable. I had actually thought about buying the Jeep Liberty but after test driving it I decided the Tucson was a much better vehicle.

  • Tucson - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON

Comfortable ride. Good height but doesnt feel like it will tip over on hard turns. Good acceleration and braking ability. ESC works very well in mud and snow. Standard package is very well equiped. Power windows, locks, keyless entry,CD Player, Very good 6 speaker sound system, rear doors and back glass dark tinted from factory. Plenty of room for large beverages, one in each door and two in the console. Extra large console under the console tray and the lid is adjustable for tall people to use as an armrest.

  • A compact SUV just as I wanted - 2006 Hyundai TUCSON
    By -

I bought my car four months ago. It is a car exactly I wanted, a mainly city SUV that can be also be used to carry my ski equipment in snowy Canadian winter and camping bags in muddy summer. My Tucson is a quiet, responsive, reliable, spacious, and comfortable car that has almost all I need. It comes with 4WD, V6, stability control, shiftronic, front/side/roof air bags, leather seats, moon roof, mp3 player, roof racks, fog lights, alloy wheels, and much more. For a compact SUV, you cannot expect more. It does not just have COMPARABLE quality. Its build quality can beat many other cars carrying more recognized bands. I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
