  • Gotta Love it !! - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Love this car...great interior and exterior fit and finish, mileage is out of this world! Pearlcoat paint job is flawless, and great body lines...car gets high marks for styling. I could only spot two areas that could use improvement. Tire noise is a little excessive in the SE trim...higher trim packages are equipped with better tires. Brakes are a little touchy, but this is pretty common on all hybrids. This is an exceptional car with many options available, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Compare prices, looks and fuel savings, it really is a no brained. Buy the Hyundai...did I mention the fantastic warranty?

  • Great deal on 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

We have driven Prius and Prius V for the last 5 years. They are great cars with fantastic mpg. We were looking for a replacement hybrid and thought Hyundai might be it because of the reviews and features. Then we saw the sale of 2016s because the 2017s were coming in. We purchased a Limited for $24K. We wanted a car that was more comfortable and better at highway speeds. We looked at Accords, Camrys and Fusions. The Hyundai stood out because of the 2016 re-design. More room than the competitors and a great trunk. It actually has a large flat deck in the trunk. Comfort is outstanding with leather seats, lumbar support that can be moved up or down, and position memory. Heated and ventilated seats along with heated steering wheel are nice extras. The blind spot monitoring is great as well as the backup aid which lets you know if there is a car or someone approaching from the side as you back out of a space. Would like to have gotten the "Ultimate" tech package but I could not find it as dealerships had sold all they had. MPG is generally very good at 40 and acceleration to highway speeds along with solid feel are fantastic.

This car is extremely quiet, comfortable, and rides very well. Is somewhat sluggish in Eco Driving Mode but is getting a confirmed 45 MPG. Only negative Ive found is the depth (height?) of the trunk because of the battery below.

  • Toyotas No More - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

This is my second Sonata, and my first Hybrid. Got a very good deal on this car, in that I bought it from inventory as their last 16 Hybrid left on the lot. Really love this car. Expected to get 41 MPG typically, but getting closer to 44-50 in my suburban/freeway driving. Less on cold days (as low at 38 MPG) with the heater running. Better acceleration than I expected. Car doesnt know its a Hybrid apparently. Does anyone else tie the electric and gas engines together harmoniously other than Hyundai? Seems like a no brainer. Much smoother ride than my 2011 GLS. The shifting between electric and gas mode is seamless. That was a "wow". Really like the blue tooth voice dialing system. Works better than my wifes system. People have complained about the Blue Link navigation, but I have gotten used to it. Has pluses and minuses next to my wifes Honda Accords built-in navigation system. My only complaint is that the battery went bad prematurely, but that might be expected when you buy a 16 at the beginning of the 17 model year. Would have been nice had it come with a spare tire. Overall though, much more than I expected for the price.

  • The 2016 Sonata Hybrid is AMAZING! - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

We have 2 other Hyundai (07 Accent & 13 Elantra GT) and theyve been good cars. We ended up with a Sonata Hybrid SE as a service loaner car and really liked it. It was getting 40+ MPG on the same driving mix that the Elantra GT got 28-29. We decided to make a change, trading in the Elantra GT and our 07 Audi Cabriolet. We opted for a Limited (for the leather interior, heated/cooled seats) with the Ultimate package (panoramic sunroof, 400W stereo, saftey gadgets). We got great deal! MSRP of $36K and we got it for under $30K. 900 miles so far and still 200 miles left on the 2nd tank of gas. Ive seen as high as 56mpg reported on a few trips and consistently getting in the low 40s. Very quiet ride, it drives very sporty for its size, and the acceleration is very reasonable since the electric motor provides instant torque.

Too new to rate on repairs and maintenance, but the looks are great. The mpg is more than expected with it ranging from 39-56 mpg. Seating is very comfortable, ac works very well in our hot climate

  • Great Car For the Family - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

We have only owned this car for a few weeks but this is a great car for a family their is room for at least 5 and the back seat has leg room for taller people as well as giving the ones in front leg room. The gas mileage is great and the comfort on this car is nice.

  • Wonderful Hybrid Vehicle Without The Compromises - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
    By -

I considered a first generation Sonata hybrid a few years ago, and Im glad I waited. This is a great car that is leaps and bounds better than the previous model. The trunk space is improved, and the mileage is dramatically better. Great commuter sedan with 43 MPG overall so far. Love the heated and ventilated leather seats, and my kids also get heaters in the back seating as well with plenty of leg room. My wife appreciates the safety features and the lane/collision avoidance warnings, as well as the overall range well in excess of 600 miles. This is my 4th Sonata, and these cars just keep improving with each iteration. Purchased the limited without the ultimate package because I really have no use for a sunroof or built-in navigation. Only downside to this compromise is that the primary display is smaller than it should be, and sound system is just average. Great car, and even better with over 20% off MSRP!

  • We love our new Sonata Hybrid - 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

After telling people for the last 4 years how we loved our two Priuses, we were shocked while driving a Sonata at the dealership. We went to look at the Sonatas because they are beautiful cars and came away totally amazed at all of the features, the comfort, and the quiet of the Sonata. Prius is not even in the same ballpark as Sonata. I call our Sonata "our economy luxury car." We only paid an extra $1,000 more than the last Prius we bought, a 2014, and the Sonata feels like it is worth at least $10,000 more in features, beauty, quiet, safe, comfortable ride. I cant tell you how often my wife and I discuss how much we love our new Sonata. We bought the $35,000 Hybrid Limited loaded with all the features for $29,000 about 3 months ago and are getting over 40 mpg which is about 5 mpg less than our Prius was getting.
