Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Overall, I absolutely love the Santa Fe. I bought one in the Powder White Pearl color, which I think is very sharp. Love the handling, the pick-up, and its very comfortable to drive. Tons of room in the back. The only problem I have is with the outside temperature guage. Due to its location, the only accurate reading is when the vehicle is stationary. Once moving, the reading either drops by 10+ degrees, or just goes blank.

  • My "new" old ride - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I love this suv so far. Ive had it about 1 month. It looks and rides like a brand new car and one that would cost a lot more. No one believed me when I told them my "new" car was actually 13 years old. It only had 50,000 miles on it, so with Hyundai 100,000 warranties, Im hoping to have it for a very long time. It has great acceleration and gas mileage. The seats and ride are very comfortable. Only thing I dont like is the wind noise when windows are down and moonroof is open. Im hoping window vent guards will help.

I bought this car based on a "promise". And now I can tell you that I am very happy I went in this direction. Wow! Drive it and you will buy it. Solid, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of "get up and go", nicely appointed interior and plenty of storage. Handling in the snow is fantistic. I had considered the CR-V and the RAV4 and after driving each one, before buying the Santa Fe, there is just no question of which is best. I was hoping for a little bit better gas mileage. After about 3000 miles I am getting 21.1 MPG. Not the worst!

  • Poor mans Lexus or smart mans Lexus? - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

This new 07 Santa Fe will never be confused with previous years Santa Fes. With its upscale styling and car like ride this cross over vehicle offers many standard features you wouldnt expect in a Hyundai. My neighbor asked if I just bought a Lexus when I pulled my new Santa Fe into my driveway. He was shocked when I told him it was a Hyundai. The milage figres listed are 19 city & 24 highway. To date, my milage has been less. The owners manual suggested after 1200 miles the motor will be broken in so to speak. Im hoping for better gas milage down the road. I would suggest anyone looking for a mid sized SUV to seriously consider th 07 Santa Fe.
