Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Excellent Value, Car like Ride.......... - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

I am so happy with my new Santa Fe I had to come on-line and write a review. It has everything I wanted and more, excellent value and warranty and the sales experience were quick and painless. My salesperson Bobby explained everything and showed me all the features and benifits of buying a quality Suv. Most important Hyundai has done so much to improve the quality of their cars and with their warranty I have no worries.

  • Great Car - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Ive been driving the car for 3 weeks, and was concerned about the Hyundai name. This car is great to drive and the fit and finish are excellent. I am averaging about 22 miles per gallon, which isnt too bad for the 3.3L V6. I traded a VW Jetta for the Hyundai, and havent been disappointed. The back leg room is great for teens, and they especially love the blue dash lights.

I like the Santa Fe 2.7L V6 very much. It is relatively quiet and handles well on curves, and the mileage I get is 20-22 around town and 26-28 on the highway. No long trips as yet. The steering is a little too responsive if you take your eyes off the road to adjust the AC or heating, or radio.

A little under powered, slight hesitation entering the high way. for the most part Gas mileage is as posted on the window sticker a littler better on the highway. Fit and finish perfect. radio speakers very poor. Seats average at best for comfort.

  • Love My Hyundai - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

I like the feel of the vehicle. I have a good view of the road and other cars near me. It steers responsively and can make a tight turn when you need to. The seats are comforable and there is plenty of leg room. Its peppy and can move out when you have to. The controls placement and interior design of compartments, etc. are great. We love it.

  • Nice car with more bang for the buck - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Well, replaced my 2001 Ford explorer Sport and this thing rocks. It has so many features its ridiculous. A ton room and storage areas, extra 12vdc plugs in various locations, the stereo is great once the equalizer is tuned up, the USB port works great with a normal usb cable. Its quiet, fast and the ride is very smooth with the 3.3 L. The blue lights are just like my VW dash, nice. The interior is really upscale, very comfortable. The back seats have plenty of room and the recline with a nice little arm rest back there too. Rear cargo space is more than my Ford and the under mat storage in great to have. Sharp body design. You cant get a SUV for this $ with all these features.

  • My first car - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

This vehicle is my first car I purchased after doing 6 months worth of review. Im very very pleased with this vehicle, I have no regrets. I average 24.6 MPG on highways. I have had this car for only 3 months and added over 6,000 miles. Ive driven this car to four different states and had no problem. I highly recommend this vehicle.

  • My Second Santa Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

This is my second Santa Fe. Originally owned the 2002 fwd LX but wanted the bigger engine and 4wd. Also got the sunroof, woodgrain interior and running boards. This car has been great. It offers a compiant ride, good handling and many safety features including side air bags. No wonder Hyundai is tied with Honda for Initial Quality. Buy it...you wont regret it!

  • Santa Fe 2WD 6 Cyl - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Wonderful vehicle! We are enjoying it very much. Lots of muffler clearance on our country lane way. Warranty is excellent. Lots of zip; handles well and is very comfortable and roomy compared with the others we looked at. We spent a few months on research and reviews and were not mislead. The V6 has more power than we need perhaps, as the speedometer is continually sneaking up past the speed limits! A flat surface on the dash board would be helpful, or cup holder in the glove box perhaps? There isnt a spot to set a fast food tray down so you can distribute the burgers etc. to the family.
