Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Weve traditionally owned Toyotas (10) and loved them, but a test drive in the Santa Fe sold us. Were so impressed with the quality of the construction, fit and finish of the vehicle. We love the bank vault door feel when closing a door, the well-thought-out design of the dash and other controls that puts everything within easy reach, the quality materials used for the interior and exterior, the great sound of the Monsoon in-dash CD changer and speakers, the well-placed and spacious storage areas, the beautifully done leather seating, the smooth yet powerful engine and transmission and the secure, quiet ride and precise handling. Even love the cute first aid kit! I could go on forever.

  • Fun to Drive - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

This is my SUV to own and I have been really pleased. This is my second Hyundai thought. I had a 2001 Sonata and traded it for the Santa Fe. Its fun to drive and handles well.

This auto gave on the average 23 mpg and many times 28 mpg. The comfort and, performance was great for a 6 cyl. vehicle. Will be buying another within 1-2 years!

  • Hey -- Get your own! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

Santa Fe = Value I got my Santa Fe for THOUSANDS less than comparable competitor models. I even got a $1000 dollar loyalty discount because my wife already bought a new Hyundai! I love the ride and so do the passengers. Since I love to drive, its really cool having the most comfortable car in our pack. ItÂ’s also great for hauling stuff like: 2 Lazyboy recliners (at once!) 1500 Lbs of gravel/topsoil (at once!) 12 foot 2x4 lumber Two man Auger Rototiller Table saw

  • I love my 2003 Hyundai Santa FE GLS 2.7 liter - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought my 2003 Santa FE brand new. I now have 175000 miles on it. I have had its maintenance done regularly which has included the timing and serpentine belt twice, replaced the battery once, 2 sets of front brake pads, 1 set of rear brakes pads, and replaced one set of tires. This has been absolutely worth the money I have spent for the car. Some of the problems that other reviewers have posted are not problems but regular maintenance items. Everything thing wears out people and may need to be replaced! Some of the fuel economy issues can also be attributed to poor fuel quality. If you put crap gas in your car it will cause problems first with poor mpgs then eventually emission issues.

  • An amazing SUV - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just purchased a 2007 Santa Fe Limited AWD. The car is amazing. The redesign makes this SUV best in class. Looks and performs like a luxury SUV for thousands less!

  • Great car for the money - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

I got more for my money than someone buying the Honda CRV. Mine came with a V6, CRV does not, mine is 540 lbs heavier than the CRV which gives it a better ride. Mine has a 3.5 L engine, CRV is about a 2.4 L engine. Plus I got the roof racks (side rails) included. CRV its an extra. I drove a new CRV and I like the feel of Santa FE much better. An all around sturdier car than the CRV, in my opinion.

  • Great car - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have really enjoyed owning my Santa Fe. It combines the ease of driving of a car with the roominess and storage of an SUV. I cant say too much bad about it and I would definitely buy another.

  • Santa Fe Sport is a Delight to Drive - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

My Santa Fe Sport is my first crossover vehicle and is a blast to drive. For the first time, Im sitting up higher and I have greater road visibility. I test drove several other small SUVs, but the Sport had the smoothest ride and was the most comfortable.

  • I luv my SUV !!! - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I bought it a year ago and, even when I see the new Santa Fe on the roads, Im very proud of my last years choice ! Nice, safe, excellent warranty and quality, needs only to get the scheduled maintenance and it runs forever... Its nice to have the automatic 4X4, in this way everybody can have it without even think about "when to switch it on" or "how to do it"... its just there, only when you need it !
