So far (2800 miles) I have had nothing but great fun with this car. It certainly is a head turner. When the turbo kicks in I get shoved back into my seat, which is great and the bolsters do a good job of keeping me centered in the seat. Cornering is fun and very stable. Speeds approaching 100 (or so Ive heard......ahem, cough, cough) the front end gets really light). The sound system is pretty good, without being very loud on the high end. I love the ipod hookup and the XM radio. The shift pattern of the 6 speed manual is VERY tight and takes some getting used to. Overall my gas mileage is not too bad as long as I try (grin) to stay out of the turbo. I dont regret this purchase.

  • What a Blast! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I visited the dealer to look at the Sonata but the Genesis Coupe caught my eyes. The dealer also offered me a "cant refuse deal" for $24,000. I had looked at the Genesis Coupe last year but since I already own a turbo charged Mitsubishi Eclipse, I walked past it. This time, after test driving it, I promptly turned in the Eclipse and became an amazed owner of the Genesis Coupe. My neighbors were astounded that its a Hyundai. I get stares everywhere I drive. So far, the cars been perfect... no problems at all. Even the bluetooth works well, although sometimes it doesnt understand names.

  • Love it! Love it! Absolutely love it! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I own my Genesis for more than a year. Never regret of buying it. I love my Genesis more and more everyday! I didnt know driving can be so much fun before having my Genesis. Visibility is excellent, controls are easy to use, and the blue lighting in the panel looks very attractive. The backseats are little bit tight (very common in sports car, so not a surprise for me) with limited head space but plenty of leg rooms. My family has domestic, Japanese, and high end German cars. The Genesis Coupe is our first Korean car but it gets the most praises and compliments. Highly recommend the Genesis Coupe to anyone who wants a fun and attractive sports car.

  • Gen Coupe for the Win - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I ordered my 3.8 Gen Coupe in Feb of 2009 and didnt get it until July of 09. Why? Hyundai underestimated demand for the car and ran out of limited slip diffs on 3.8s. Now I know why. The Gen Coupe is a MONSTER ride, and a complete departure from previous Hyundai vehicles, including the modest Tiburon V6 Tuscani. Its a loud-mouthed monster that VERY much hates being driven slow. In fact, driving around in normal city traffic can be a bit less comfortable than opening it up outright. Once youre out of 2nd gear, the car shines. Its responsive as hell, its 0-60 is fantastic for a companys first time RWD car, its features are great, and it turns heads like a Ferrari.

Picked it up last night. Sharp looking car, sporty driving (still need to break it in properly) and commuting are possible without sacrifice. Plenty of power. Perfect ergonomics, lots of room, good visibility. Handling is great, good feedback, brakes are wonderful. Drove both the 3.8 and the 2.0T and found the turbo to be more than enough, actually prefer the sound of the 2.0 over the 3.8. Suspension is tight, but not bone jarring. And the price was right, too.

  • Fun to drive, poor fuel economy - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
    By -

Upgraded to this car from a 2001 Toyota Celica. Like the looks, fun to drive, but the fuel economy is a sham. Best MPG so far is 20mpg on the highway with cruise control on. My Celica got 30+ doing the same driving. Paint is already chipping on the bumper. Also, a creaking/clunking noise started in my rear axle/wheel hub area TWO MONTHS after purchase. I researched this car top to bottom along with the Accord, went for the "fun" car and I regret my decision.

The Genesis Coupe is a great little car and Im having a ball with it. Ive driven big Chryslers, Buicks and Cadillacs for the last 30 years. In many ways driving this Coupe feels like driving my early rides; 66 Tbird, 69 Cyclone and 74 Mach 1 ... eye-catching style and eye-popping performance.

  • The Start of Something Great - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I think its safe to say I found the car of my dreams, although there are a few things about the car that arent perfect. Lets start with the power of this car: its an absolute beast when you push it around. This is one massive V6 that even trumps the brand new Camaros and competes with cars that cost twice as much and it uses regular fuel to power it yet is smooth, comfortable and reasonably quiet when cruising on a freeway. The styling gets looks from everyone around it and many people who owns G37s and 335is are astonished at the flowing H logo that is attached to it. If you are looking for a sports car that doesnt skimp on features for less than $30k, do NOT count this car out.

  • My Favorite Car Ever! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I am so pleased with my Hyundai! The performance is outstanding and I constantly get compliments about how great the car looks. And of course, you cant beat Hyundais warranty. Great car!

  • Great Value Sports Coupe - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I used to sell Infinitis for a living and its easy to see what the benchmark for this car is. For almost $20,000 less for a similarly equipped car, the Genesis is 95% of the way to a G37 Coupe. Yes, it does ride firm but its a sports car. Being British, Im probably more used to firm riding cars. The road noise is noticeable. Im looking forward to changing to high performance tyres in the spring to see if that helps.
