  • 1st Impressions - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

We were going to buy a Sonata when we saw the coupe and were floored. Took it for a test drive and were sold on the spot knowing Hyundais reliability. Having only put 250 miles on the vehicle, its a little early to give true impressions and ratings on the vehicle until it is broken in. MPG for this vehicle so far is good having obtained an average of 25 MPG on both Hwy/City... as long as you can keep your foot from getting heavy on the gas. This car is a blast to drive for the price and handles very well and predictable. Yes, there are some small quirks Ive noticed, but I can easily look past these for the fun and pleasure of driving this car.

  • Fun but unrefined - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The car is fun to drive and look at, but has many flaws. Ive had multiple transmission problems to include a total replacement at 4200 miles. Traction control doesnt work all the time, the bluetooth radio is horrible as it syncs and wont allow calls until complete (which can take 15 minutes each time you get in the car). The paint on my hood had to be buffed and polished due to it being "soft", the speedometer is inaccurate, and Hyundai refuses to act on many of the issues. I would not recommend this vehicle and am in the process of using the lemon law on mine.

  • Best car Ive ever owned! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I have owned nearly 30 cars, and the Genesis Coupe is by far my favorite. Its comfortable, fun to drive, reliable (no problems after 30,000 miles), and it looks great. Hyndai name or not, this is one of the best values for the money, and one of the best sports coupes - period - on the market today. It may not be the fastest 0-60, but it sure is quick, and it has amazing handling characteristics. If you are looking for a PURE sports car that is liveable & reliable, this is the car for you. I cant wait to drive this car every day!

  • Love It - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I have 0 buyers remorse. I absolutely love this car! Honestly, I was very skeptical until I actually went down to the dealership and saw it in person. I knew at that point that this was the car I was going to get. A lot of reviews talk about a so-so auto system, with the premium you get the 10 speaker infinity sounds system. Honestly, I think that for the majority of the people the audio system will be perfect. The speakers are clear and can handle some power. The sub is a little underpowered. Like I said, for the average person, the audio will be great. Any one who spends 5000+ on their system wont be impressed but thats ok because they are going to rip it out anyway.

  • Genesis coupe buyers BEWARE - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Got car brand new with 30 miles in odometer, @ 1500 miles dealer replaced tranny under warranty because of grinding gears on 2nd and 3rd gear, after several trips to the dealer tranny still grinds, tried to talked to consumer affairs and so far no responce, do your research before buying this car, this is not an isolated problem many customers complaining with the SAME issue and Hyundai so far have not find a fix for the problem. This is from the 2010 brochure: Triple-cone synchronizers on first through third gears help ensure smooth and durable shifting, whether you’re headed up or down through the gears." Smooth??? No way it is smooth, my 2001 honda civic sounds better than this car, durable??? my tranny lasted only 1500 miles. This is just for them to sell you the car, then once you get it they will ingnore you

  • Worth every penny - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Great ride, People think its a new BMW or Lexus. I test drove the G37,TL,TSX,IS 250, and 350. This car is right up there with all of them. Handles like a sports car when you stomp on the gas. You can beat the price with the options it comes with. I was skeptical at first of a Hyundai, and how people were going to rag on me. But ever one loves it. I had to wait a week to get the one that I wanted but it sure what worth it.

Bought this car on Saturday only one I have seen on the road to date. This is a great looking car with a lot of options very powerful engine great interior with plenty of accents and leather very fun to drive. Will let you know about reliability and speed later I am taking it to Bristol for the nascar race and will look for a place to open it up on the way

  • Daily Drive - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Traded my BMW 328 daily drive. The genesis coupe is really fun to drive. Seats are luxurious and comfortable. Handles great on all the turns and the catback has a great sound with the 6 speed auto climbs the gears nicely. My weekend car is C6 corvette but both equally fun to drive. OK I took off the huydai fron grill and replaced it with the chrome aftermaket grill for looks.

  • 5+ yrs and 100k miles and I want to buy it again! - 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I didnt set out to buy this car, or any car until I spotted this at the dealership and fell in love. Walking in with your mouth hanging open probably isnt the best negotiating strategy. This hadnt happened since spotting my 1978 Toyota Celica GT5 right after college! It isnt unusual for people to walk up and ask me about the car and compliment me - it happens every week. Happened just today in fact. Love driving this car and have had very few issues. Handles well and has all the power most mere mortals need. My only issues are minor - one annoying one, the media screen is for some reason unreadable when the dash lights are very dimmed. Not sure what people are complaining about with the seats being uncomfortable... Im 60 and drive routinely over an hour with zero discomfort. The only repairs were when the buttons on the doors malfunctioned and were promptly repaired under warranty by dealer. Also had a battery die and have to be replaced. Me, I wish I could just turn back the clock and start over with this very same car.
